I haven't found where the Iraqi Parliment has voted on the Constitution. Yes they have agreed to some changes, but that's not the same as an all out vote. It's clear they want the people of Iraq to make this dangerous decision. Voting in the new Constitution by the people would be one mean sucker punch to the "insurgency".

Can anyone find a vote tally??? How many on the Parliment voted yes and how many voted no? I'm most interested in the Sunni Parlimentary members. Did some or all of them vote no? I've done an extensive search and cannot find that anywhere.

interview with Pres. Clinton:

Clinton said there had been a "heroic but so far unsuccessful" effort to put together a constitution that would be universally supported in Iraq.

He should stick to what he's best at: fundraising! Nice to see the constitution coming through! Im guessing this will get voted on and approved by the public!

You're wrong. Where is your link that there is UNIVERSAL support for the Constitution in Iraq? Factions still oppose the constitution and the people haven't voted yet.

When 100% of the people vote for the Constitution, you will be right. :drunk:

Im guessing it will get support from the public on Oct. 15th. Just from the reactions I have heard, and what I have seen of it.

Pres. Clinton said there was a failure to get universal support, which is wrong, because it was not voted on yet. He is assuming it will get voted down by the public. Maybe he has some inside information, I doubt it though.

Yesterday's submission of the draft constitution to U.N. officials for printing takes the document out of the hands of negotiators. Millions of copies will be printed ahead of an Oct. 15 referendum in which Iraqis will vote yes or no on the document.

Excellent post. My sentiments exactly. From the polls I've seen the constitution will pass easily. Quoting bill clintong is like quoting the devil. When I want to listen to a piece of $%&#, I'll watch south park and listen to mr. hankey. :D

Folks, wakeup! The Iraqi's people have not been given a reason to back this constitution. It does not show them in any way that they're lives will be better in concrete ways. It is a piece of paper, that's all. Start thinking like people in the situation instead of people thinking only to make money off of the situation. Otherwise this will be just like Vietnam if the Iraqi people don't see concrete gains for them.

We have been here before
