Greetings,

As things overall seem to be improving quickly, I though it would be time to make an inquiry on the flip side of things. Being the new standard for buying ISX thru Warka is now at 100,000 shares per order, per company, what would the standard be now for any sell orders?

Well I fired off a question this week on this, and learned that right now Warka has no set minium sell order amount, so you can sell as little or as much as you have/desire. This might apply to those here who like many, got into placing orders to buy when there was no minium buy order at all. As they hold possibly small amounts of various companies, much lower than the current 100,000 share buy order requirement.

Additionally I would have liked to mention my sourse for this or any further Warka information. I went on to also ask if there was any objection to post the responce here, but it was pointed out to me that any "offical" Warka bank policy, just like any bank should not be advertised as "offical" bank policy by folks like us here on this or any forum. Most such information is easily found on the offical Warka Web site, and I fully respect and agree with thier position on that.

With that said, I believe we should not expect to see much direct information posted here by either Warka or Karmal in the near future, even though I believe they both have accounts here.

Greetings and thanks, crazyfrank.
I too hope things accelerate for the ISX. It would be great to hear more
investment thoughts from members.
The hotel stock was shooting up for awhile but seems to have petered out lately.
I wonder what the next big push will be?

i still like the banks....but i still dont understand why the value of all the stocks...has gone down in the last 4 years....even with all the good news....and the ISX index moving higher

when the index was 37-38...i was buying stocks for 2-3 dinars....now the index is 57-58...

and the price of individual stocks is a lot lower....with people dropping big wads of cash into it.....

i dont get it ?....WHAT WOULD MAKE THESE company stock PRICES GO UP ?...instead of down ?

I am hoping that my Loyalty will bring a premium..
If anything, we will have DOCUMENTED proof that we had faith in Iraq and the Iraqi people when no one else did.. This should carry some weight.

Its cause the Iraqis keep diluting their shares by issuing new ones all the time.

Every time the price goes up new shares are issued and that brings the price down again

C@~Ts !!!

The war was going badly in 05-06,and the market fell accordingly (like in the US now with all the bad financial news),and a lot of stocks have not recovered. However,in the case of the banks, they have been paying a lot of free, and paid up capital shares, and stocks have adjusted accordingly-kind of like stocks going x-dividends in the US.
I personally have a good return on my stocks.I'm in 43 stocks,19 banks, and I firmly believe this is still the "ground" floor in stocks.Go back to 04 and check what some of them were selling for,and this is a good indication of what we can see for the future.Look at Baghdad Hotel-it was 750 in July,04,now just 16-This is a hell of a buy, even if it cost you 1,600,000 thru Warka.Of course, this in all IMHO!!!!!!!

Runamuck

Also the companies might be dumping shares into the market for capital. Happens allot in the penny market.

I think we should start to see some growth now.
