Intel launches most advanced processor

The Core i7 processor speeds video editing, immersive games and other popular Internet and computer activities by up to 40 per cent without increasing power consumption.
Broadly heralded by the computing industry as a technical marvel, the Intel Core i7 processor holds a new world record of 117 for the SPECint_base_rate2006 benchmark test that measures the performance of a processor. This is the first time for any single processor to exceed a score of 100 points, said a statement.

Has come along way since my first computer coarse in '71'. The unit was as large as a refrigerator. We used cards similar to lotto.......I remember when we got the upgrade to ticker tape......would have a massive role to do a simple program with the 7 basic commands....goto, let, end, etc.
