This could have been put in the World News or World Economic sections, but I put it here so those of you that thinks Marxism can be done here better because we have some "genius" as a president elect.
Zimbabwe Inflation Hits 13.2 Billion Percent
AHN Staff
Washington, D.C. (AHN) - With its current inflation rate of 13.2 billion percent, Zimbabwe's hyperinflation once more broke records by surpassing Yugoslavia's 1994 record.
Zimbabwe now is on second place for the worst inflation spike in global history, next only to Hungary which logged a 12.95 quadrillion percent inflation in 1946 in which prices doubled every 15.6 hours.
The Zimbabwe hyperinflation rate was made by Steve Hanke of the Cato Institution in Washington, who used exchange rate movements and correct market data.
Harare's official inflation figure, which Hanke distrusted, is 231 million percent a year. Aside from its record-setting inflation rate and lack of merchandise, Zimbabwe is suffering from a prolonged political crisis which has sparked street demonstrations and causes the country's economy to further deteriorate.
Hanke told the U.K. Telegraph, "They still have a way to go to catch Hungary, but they are getting there." He added, "If they keep going at this pace, they have a shot at it within a month or maybe a month-and-a-half at the outside."
Marxism has failed every time it's been tried.

In short, here is a start for you.
Government owns and runs everything, the people are slave puppets. They die from starvation. They eventually riot against the government and are slaughtered.

Please, especially pay attention to the first sentence below.
http://www.marxists.org/subject/students/index.jpgFoundations of Marxism
We are here to give you a starting point, a grounding in what Marxism is about. A Marxist has a certain kind of practice, a way of living and working, that we call being a Communist (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/orgs/c/o.htm#communists). A Marxist’s thought is based on this daily practice, a philosophy called Dialectics (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/d/i.htm#dialectics). Thus, Marxism is both a theory (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/t/h.htm#theory) and a practice (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/p/r.htm#practice). The theories of Marxism are sometimes called dialectical materialism (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/d/i.htm#dialectical-materialism); to be clear there is no one answer to a question – theory is based on a particular set of conditions that are always finite, and thus, any theory is necessarily limited. To test the validity of theory, Marxists rely on practice as the criteria of truth (http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/t/r.htm#truth). Using such a methodology Marx and Engels examined history (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/subject/hist-mat/index.htm), which lead them to elaborate theories of the class struggle, the basis of social relations through economics, and the form of society that could follow capitalism. These theories are not immutable truths, they follow something similar to the scientific method. Naturally, there are countless examples of Marxist theories that have been modified, revised, or altogether changed: starting with Marx’s own changes! In this sense, in reading the classics of Marxism your most important task is to comprehensively understand the method; having accomplished that, you’ll begin to see relevant and up to date answers for modern times on your own. :)

Which way out of the Zimbabwean nightmare? http://www.marxist.com/templates/js_simplicity_red/images/printButton.png (http://www.marxist.com/index2.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5762&pop=1&page=0&Itemid=655) http://www.marxist.com/templates/js_simplicity_red/images/emailButton.png (http://www.marxist.com/index2.php?option=com_content&task=emailform&id=5762&itemid=655) By Fred Weston Thursday, 24 April 2008 Zimbabwe is gripped by an unprecedented economic, social and political crisis that could even push it towards open civil war. Mugabe's refusal to accept the results of the March 29 elections is an indication of his desperation as he attempts to hold on to power. The country is paralysed as the crisis at the top unravels.
Is any of this starting to sound familiar yet?

My Daddy says even Karl Marx claimed to be against Marxism. Now Maxism is a different matter, however. - JMDO - JAG

Karl Marx never worked a day in his life. Even his mother kept after him to get a job.
