I do not know if this is the correct arena for this , so mod's take action if you must!! A US Treasury official who declined to be named said an IMF arrangement would be “a kind of step of credibility for the economic program” in Iraq.
It would also encourage lending from the World Bank and the private sector, he said.[/FONT] http://www.mmorning.com/ArticleC.asp?Article=2891&CategoryID=6 :happy26:

Any place is a good place for good news. :happy26:
THis is in line with the speculation of the need for the final Articles of agreement to be signed for a re-value to take place. Debt reduction, economic development, international contracts for infrastructure rebuilding etc...all baby steps but a step nevertheless.

Hello,
The only thing in the IMF report that I believe is holding us up is ending the subsidies that is bleeding Iraq to death. This is the only thing I have not seen substancial progress in.

I think the subsidies will start to be removed AFTER the Peg. That way the Iraqis can afford to pay for there Gas and food.

"Baby steps" is well put and the Iraq's have been very shrewdly baby stepping their way right from the beginning, debt relief, grants, building reserves, etc...and will lead us to the end of the Dino rainbow, very soon.
GO DINO!!!
