American oil executives asked to go back to Iraq

The general manager of a refinery near Baghdad today implored American oil executives to “be brave enough to go back to Iraq. ”

Dathar Al-Khashab has been managing a refinery that has been under attack since the war in Iraq began. He told American oil executives attending the 2005 annual meeting of the American Petroleum Institute at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, “Don't just sit there and wait for the opportunity to come in.”
