You are allowed to purchase 28% of the amount of shares you own for 1 dinar a share...

Thanks RPM629 for the info....maybe you can also shed some light on this one too for me. I have been sending Warka stock purchase request for the last couple of months to no avail. I just received this email today from the ISX Dept.

Dear Mr. XXXXX

Please note that the minimum stock order is 150000 shares per company and I would appreciate if you could amend your stock picks in accordance with the minimum requirement.

Many thanks and best regards,

Now, if I'm reading this right.....I would have to multiply 150,000 X 1.3 per share (Warka) = $195,000 Dinar + the transaction fee. $200,000 dinar will cover this request.

Or could it mean 150,000 dinar request per company. If you or any other IIF members purchased stock lately....can you please give advised on this one....thanks in advance.

Whow,it looks like Warka is upping the anti to do business thru them-it's really going to cost us to buy hotel stocks.2,440,000 dinars for Baghdad hotel.I think I might have to go to another broker.I realize they have a lot of business, but this tends to be a little too much.Any other opinions??????Maybe we should confirm thru Mr. I.I will, and will let everyone know his answer.

Wow!! That is alot now. Yes, that means you have to purchase 150,000 shares at a time. If you purchased 2 different Banks it would be 300,000 shares you would have to purchase @ whatever rate each one is selling for. You are correct in your Warka example.

Boy am I ever glad I got in early. I could never afford much stock at those amounts...:happy64:

Personally, I've already given up buying anymore shares or even the paid capital shares...been trying for months and no one ever gets back to me. Not really a big deal though. I was able to grab a few million shares in the early years of all this madness and I've pretty much moved on from expecting any significant gains anytime soon (at least not for another 15-20 years).

I know a bunch of you guys are still able to get your requests processed so I applaud anyone who can still get in.

Good luck to all.
