Hi Everyone
Did not want to hijack Adsters thread, but i am also in the process of having my documents notarized and certified by the Iraqi Embassy. Just a few questions for anyone that have been through the process recently in the UK. Have read seaviews posts but still am not sure about a few things.
Talked to my local notary yesterday and he was under the impression that i would need 3 separate documents, 1 for signature, 1 for passport and ID, and 1 for address. I was hoping to get it all done on one document to cut down on costs. Has anyone been able to get everything on one document and certified by the Iraqi Embassy recently?
Lastly he wanted to know if i also needed an Apostille? This bit really confused me had not heard this mentioned before.
Anyone’s help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Paul

I put all docs on one sheet of paper and that was accepted. I had to sign that sheet three times and date it and the Notary signed and dated it.
You do need an Apostille. This is done by the Foreign Office after it has been approved by the Iraqi Embassy. The British/Arab Chamber of Commerce takes care of all that.
I did exactly the same as Seaview, just a year or 2 later.
1 A4 page with all of the info and scans on it.

Come to think of it the Notary stuck a seal on it too, I think. I'm pretty sure that wasn't an Apostille though.

Fishindinar, this is BIG. (Drivers license OR passport) We all have a drivers license, but a Passport = $100 & 3 weeks wait time.
I'm going to spam Mr I and see if he will submit a modified form with my drivers license & signatures, certified by the embassy to the ISX.

I recieved an email from Kamal brokerage a week ago concerning the Drivers liscence or Passprot and they said you HAD TO HACE A PASSPORT to trade, buy ect.
I'm pretty sure the paperwork is an ISX requirement, not just a Warka requirement. You need to go through the same process regardless of which broker you choose to use.

Thanks for the link Fish...If my Warka service doesn't meet my expectations once my paperwork is approved, I will try Karmel too.
They do have a "valid passport" requirement on their ISX page, thats too bad.

The drivers license and passport scan do not have to be in color has Mr. I says. It does not state this as a requirement on the ISX site.

I agree. Variety is always good. So, any member out there that has the Bat e-mail connection with Mr. I please let him know that people may be seeking out other brokerage firms to do business with.
I say this because I sent my e-mails to Mr. I and the customer service department that is "suppose to answer questions about wire transfers" and have yet to receive a response to my questions. Valid questions at that.
In addition, I have also wired my money to them. I tried calling today, but it was to late, they were closed. I am not a demanding person, but I would sure like better response times from them. After all I am using there service and will eventually pay them handsomely for it if all goes well.
Please forgive me if I posted in the wrong thread, but I figured since we were on the subject, I thought I might add a comment or two to the expense of the subject at hand. :itwasntme:
