As part of our ongoing prepartion for 2006, the mods and I would like to invite you to help us brainstorm new ideas for features for the IIF.
So, let's turn on our creativity and think about new cool additions for the forum. What would you like to see on the forum? Maybe new discussion forums, not necessarily related to Iraq? Have you seen interesting features on other sites that you would like to see here?
As an incentive to get the juices flowing, I promise to send a dinar set (7 notes) to the presenter of any original idea that ends up being implmeneted.
Take Care

I would like to see a Soldiers only thread, were they can post to each other and their family's can post and send them messages in a some what private thread. And they can post family photos to each other in it.

I would like to see the IIF set up a soldier Dinar endowment for families of soldiers that have given thier lives for the cause of a free Iraq, and a safer world.

A Smack Board - if 2 members are having "issues" - tell them to take it to the Smack Board and they can do battle. Leave your feelings at the door - if you dont want to be offended by what you read - dont come in.

There's already a 'No Rules' thread, and there's always PM's so the rest of us don't have to see it. I like to peruse the 'New Posts', and not having battles show up is always a pleasure! JMO.

Okay, I know we can attach files and such to posts, but this might be a good idea, debate at will.
How about an "IIF-approved Tools and Utilities" file download section. Stuff like some of the spreadsheets that people have been working on can be placed here, and as updates/refinements made, replaced accordingly.
Saves time having to search through old posts if someone can go and find "The Super Deluxe Dinar Value Appreciation and Comparison Spreadsheet" or whatever.
Also, other things like safe surfing utilities or organization tools, etc. could potentially go here.
Just trying to cash in on some free dinar notes ;)

How about a section thanking all the men and women over in Iraq to go along with what dougmyers posted. The military deserves a section in here.

A section already exists. It's pretty new, though.

I like all of the ideas so far, but this one seems to jump out at me for some reason. Not just for those who have given their lives, but have a need for assistance with a disabled soldier as well. What better way to show our faith in this investment, while helping those who have sacrificed emensely for so many? Iknow the struggles first hand of being a single mother. Something such as this that can continuously evolve could very well support itself with the compounding interest and rising value of the dinar.
I think a soldier's only section would be nice too, but how would you know who truly is a soldier in order for them to be able to participate? Anyone can put anything in their profile to say they are a soldier.
Dan, I'm sure some more good ideas will be forth coming, and you may end up dishing out a lot more dinar than you originally thought (lol).

I think this is a great idea but I would like to see the endowment cover contractors families aswell. My opinion being if this investment goes like we all hope its only right to give some back. I also like the idea of keeping this community going as an investment group as along with the Dinar I would be really interested in building up Iraqi Stocks as I believe in the long term Iraq will be a vital player in world trade. I dont know all that much about such things but feel a strong vibrent economy will add to the hopes of the Iraqi people and as they stand on their on feet and US/UK troops leave the insurgent problem will lessen. Seasons Greetings to ALL
I would like to see a HOT STOCK PICK section

I would like to see the religious forum freed from the poltical forum.
a person of oneness,
Dean Hedges
ps ... I also like a soldiers only forum ... those guys are tough as nails and deserve a place to call their own
I second that. It would at least give BillRock a chance to bang his Bible for a purpose, and others a chance to question it.

Coky great idea, I really think looking at a very long term timeframe 10-15-20 years buying up stock in companies forming the base of the economy ie transport, communications, media stocks would be a really good return while helping the Iraqi economy grow and develope

So I recently saw this report on these guys that raise money for Veterns of the war in Iraq. They are bringing in big bucks, and only 5% is actually going to the cause.
To follow up on my previous idea - Once we get an RV, I would like to work with the IIF in setting up a 501 (c) 3 arm that would raise money for veterans and thier families with 100% of the profits going to the cause.
We could hold annual fund raisers, golf tournaments, host speakers, benifit dinners...

Bill O'Reilly reported on them the other night.
They have been doing this for years for many different causes.
Several state attorneys have shut them down, and they just reinvent themselves for another cause.

Have asked a lot of questions on taxes. Capital gains..blah blah...to much to go into ....you know what I mean if you have read through the forum. Lets put all these in one place. And if anyone out there has an accountant or tax specialist how about getting them on here.

I would like to see a board for dinar nay sayers. I want to hear their point of view and then have a chance for rebuttal. I am not afraid to look at the whole picture. But it would be nice to have the negative relagated to one area so I can go there when I am feeling strong enough...you know?

You apparently want to debate so the Rumors & Speculation Forum is the place for you.
You are also a New Member so you need to read this post to acquaint yourself with how to gain and keep access to this area.

Have you all taken this idea and established it as a posting post? Or say an all vet posting area! Just some thoughts! Or did the old vet miss something, not the first time, "shell-shocked"! :drunk:
What say you? ;)
