yes I just used the link you posted and it still is not there, the top of the list of news stories begins with economy bank paid up share info, then gulf bank, and then national bank .
I see nothing anymore about mosul bank, and I know it was there earlier yesterday, forgive me if its at my end, but I just don't see it anymore here.

It would seem Warka customers get what they're entitled to, eventually and that Karmal Investors sometimes get IOU's :giggle:

we're all in this together no matter which broker we use. Sure there'll be competition and here is the PRIME place to wage that sort of war right now
All this 'Warka are no good, Karmal are best' crock is to be expected, especially here :nerd:
Until Warka let me down in the slightest, with Warka I'll stay

The above (PAID UP SHARES) are shares that a shareholder (someone who already owns shares of this bank) can PURCHASE for 1 IQD each, however, there is a deadline as to when you have to REQUEST to purchase these additional shares by, and, in this case it happens to be May 31st, 2009.
There is also ALWAYS a certain percentage that they (the company or bank) will offer at the 1 IQD each price - in this case it is 24.5% - which is the MAXIMUM amount that you can buy at 1 IQD each. For example, if you had 200,000 shares of this bank, then you could purchase a maximum of 49,000 shares at 1 IQD each (24.5% x 200,000 = 49,000 IQD). This amount (49,000 IQD) would be removed from your bank account (if using Warka Bank), so you ALWAYS need to keep at least 'some' IQD in your bank account to be able to take advantage of these offers (some of which are INCREDIBLE deals).
If they are FREE Shares (a split), then you would NOT have to do anything to receive them. They are automatically credited to your account (at some point) and you are sent a spreadsheet (hopefully) with your current number of shares including the FREE shares.
So, for Paid Up Shares - you must request them to be purchased for you as you have to PAY for them (there is ALWAYS a deadline AND always a price).
For Free Shares - you do not need to do anything as they will automatically be given to you for FREE.
PLEASE! PLEASE! Use 'something' to keep track of your shares (free or paid) so you will always know what you are entitled to.
Scott Gonzalez (spelling) has a site that may help, OR, you can use the Spreadsheet that someone here on this site provided for free to keep track of your shares. If you do not have Microsoft Excel, then you can also use OPENOFFICE.ORG (I believe it is FREE).
