There is no basic revenues to compensate the shortage in 2009 annual budget, Fadhil Nabi deputy Iraqi finance minister told PUKmedia today May 25.

Exporting oil from the Kurdistan region oil fields can increase Iraqi revenues and to compensate the shortage in 2009 annual budget. As it was expected Iraq to export 2 million barrels of oil per day, but due to decreasing oil production currently only one million and 800,0000 barrels are exported daily, therefore exporting oil from Kurdistan regions oil fields can solve that issue.” Fadhil Nabi said.

WOW; if they can start getting some revenue a little earlier, they won't have to borrow that much from the IMF.
