I continue to be amazed that the larger investing community does not even know how to invest in Iraq....except for the trailblazers here at IIF!!!!
It is a privilege to be a part of this community, especially with so many intelligent individuals who have blazed new trails (and continue to do so)!!!:handshake:

This pretty much sums it up my friend. All the negative media press over the past 5 years about Iraq (all in the name of attacking President Bush) has blinded the entire world to the opportunity that exists behind such a cloud of smoke (both literally and metaphorically speaking). It looks like some people are starting to get it which means the next year or two could be the beginning of the Golden Age in Iraq.
I remember the old days when we opened Warka accounts through the hotmail address provided on the Coalition Provisional Authority site. We've come a LONG way baby and by the looks of it, we don't have that much longer to go. I have recently gone back to some of the older threads and I am simply amazed at the insight and perspective many people have had here regarding investing in Iraq. This is a well documented forum with a rich 5 year history.
For those who have yet to get their in-country investments set up yet, should really give it long look. I've always carried all three (cash, Warka, ISX) but I've got a good feeling that we are going to see gains on the ISX that have never been seen before. It's just a matter of time now (and I don't think a whole lot of time either).

Here's a quick rundown:
NEW YORK (TheStreet (http://www.thestreet.com/)) -- "My viewers are desperate to play Iraq," said Jim Cramer on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment. "People do believe there is an oil-based recovery that could last for years."
He credited host Erin Burnett's recent reporting in the country with exposing its potential, saying that many people were unaware of its economic structure. "I think people thought this was not a capitalist country," Cramer said. Iraq receives "tremendous aid" from the U.S., said Cramer, but it could also be "very self-sufficient, with all the oil companies (http://www.thestreet.com/story/10614269/1/cramers-stop-trading-caterpillar.html?puc=_tscrss#)."
Cramer said he'd love to find a way to play the dinar, Iraq's currency. "I'm always a fan of buying the currency as a play," he said, and requests are rolling in to "Mad Money" for a way to own the dinar.
"How about an ETF (http://www.thestreet.com/story/10614269/1/cramers-stop-trading-caterpillar.html?puc=_tscrss#) to play the dinar?" he suggested. "That would really be the way to go." He predicted that the first ETF to offer such an opportunity "is going to get a lot of dollars in it."
