No NOTHING... I am so disgusted with the waste of over a Million Dinars I have put into this stock for 2 years and have reap NOTHING.

I am dumping this TURD STOCK when it starts trading again.

I bought it as a hedge in case Baghdad fell. They have done Jack and I'm Dumping. Sooooonnnn...

Hey cowpoke i feel for you man,just like other banks ie, Basrah Bank with no returns from last year,
going to give them all till next years profit anouncement then i will think over what stock needs to go,
it is a time of change over there weeding out the bad apples, as in several banks i had great expectations with,thanks to the ISC,
Next AGM anouncements,i will unload all non profit investments
and hopefully do it on- line.

HB Some of the banks/companies have some issues, which for the most part are being taken care of. For me there is not one stock on the ISX that I would not want to hold shares in, but I know some are impatient, sell ,whatever.

Yes Crow agreed,but there comes a point where the stock you hold is not making a profit,therfore it needs to to go,you can only go so long then its time to cut loose,after 2or3 years without nil,its time to move in an other direction.

I feel i need to make changes on my portfolio,we are all chasing ower own goal which is proft,i like CP have held this stock for as long,

I think anyone who got in early (that includes people still getting in this year) will do well regardless of what they hold. I bought in early, mostly banks plus Al-Hilal, Modern Paints, Chemical, and Mamoura. I believe there have been quite a few new stocks that entered the market since I got in but i have never added. I figure if it happens, my couple grand in the ISX will make me a millionaire. I might buy a cell phone company stock if there ever is one that goes on the ISX.

For me, I'm not classifying my stock as winners or losers yet, as it still is very much a frontier market. you never know when a company will merge with another larger company. Or another big pay off of some sort.

BUY, buy, buy!!! I stand pat on total accumulation, whether by investing more money, free shares, dividends or paid up shares. Also, I am trying to be selective in what I purchase.

With the Kurdistan economy being the best of all of Iraq. I'm not giving up one share of Kurdistan Bank.

Yes, I noticed that. Overall I'm not worried.

Admittedly I haven't kept very close tabs on the ISX or the individual companies listed there - preferring to focus on other areas because my positions are set - but I can see where I may begin to divert more attention in that direction. I'm quite sure we'll all do well...

I'll bite...

Kurdistan, in the north, has pipelines into Turkey and into ports for shipping. Basrah, in the south, is a port city where both import and export shipping takes place - and so investing in these regions just makes sense, especially as oil and other domestic production becomes available.

Banks are mostly under iqd 2, so to make them 500 times more will bring them to just close to $1. with their average cap $ 50 million at this time will take $ 25 billion of market cap each, for that to happen may take infinity time for most banks. IMO

Well, if you would have bought Iraqi Land Transport 2 years ago and invested $20,000 in them, you recently had the chance to cash out at over $80,000.

4x return in 2 years, that a nice future payoff I'd say.

OK, so Kurdistan Bank has been on the electronic exchange for about a month now. As far as I'm aware, I don't think there has been a single bid or offer made yet, never mind an actual trade. As a manual stock it was a pretty regular trader.

Any ideas whats going on with this one ?
