Did they do this last year? Does this include debit and credit card transactions too or is it specifically wire transfers?

Never..............

So one would assume 'something' is going on? That E-Remittance feature is STILL not working, I remember them doing that before but not for this long and now this announcement :smoke:

Myself I don't care what it is they're about to do just as long as they actually do something :giggle:

I recently was given online access to my Warka account for 20000 IQD a year, which is about $17. And to answer some other poster's question that I read, Yes, one must FIRST wire the money using one of the corresponding banks (I used Citibank NA) to Warka, then after the wire has been received Warka will deduct their 20K IQD fee and deposit the remainder in your IQD account.

REMEMBER: Send an authorization note, authorizing Warka to move money from your USD account to your IQD account. Also there is a $150 minimum balance that must be left in your USD account. So add that to whatever amount you're going to be wiring.

what this actually means is that warka have control over your money and will have the power not to release it

could you imagine a rv then all customers withdrawing in a short time of each other

this would wreck warka bank

so they have stopped this feature

So you are saying Warka have stopped this feature to stop people withdrawing their millions because it's going to RV?

Thats the way,That it sounds to me.Because think about it,In a case of RV most of people who has money overthere will request a wire transfer back,So it will bleed the country.Anybody agree??:rock:

Good ole Warka. Looking out for our interests again. They clearly don't want anyone to miss out on the big Christmas RV.

Wouldn't want to cash out just before it all goes 1:1

why would you want to if you cannot transfer it out ????????

Probably because they want invest in some very profitable Iraqi companies, banks, and/or hotels and make A LOT of money or at least earn a high rate of interest on their IQD with a Warka CD... probably not as smart as keeping under their bed and crossing their fingers though!
