The head of the provincial council, Ammar Yousuf said in a news conference held after an emergency meeting to discuss the demands of the protesters attended by "Shafaq News", that "The provincial council decided to invite the public to demonstrate peacefully to express their demands from the Iraqi government in Baghdad."
He added “we will stand from our part with the demands of the demonstrators and we will support it and we will present a request to the Iraqi government to respond to them."

The leader in Tajded movement "Renewal", headed by former convicted Vice-President, Tareq al-Hashemi announced on Sunday, that the demonstrations and sit-ins protests that are taking place condemning the arrest of the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi’s bodyguards will continue in Salahuddin province.
Some cities of Anbar and Nineveh have witnessed demonstrations that protested the arrest of al- Iraqiya List MP and Finance Minister, Rafie al-Issawi’s bodyguards on suspicion of his involvement in "terrorist” operations.
The semi-official Al-Iraqiya television showed Saturday confessions of Mahmoud al-Issawi, who is one of Issawi’s bodyguards that he received orders from the Minister of Finance’s son in law and said that he was receiving support from the Vice President sentenced to death in absentia Tareq al-Hashemi, especially in assassinations operations.
