i don't understand that you would find a private bank that gives its employees a two day religious holiday unbelievable. Private banks do it all the time world. In some countries the holidays are mandated.

No not at all. I have to say I am considering brining God into my life. Do you think if I show my boss a copy of the Bible he will let me have a couple days off? :giggle:

No, but if you are with a good company most people get at least a couple of personal holidays for whatever reason they choose. In addition there are the federal mandated holidays.
Also since you appear to not know, Warka is not located in the US and adheres to the standard holidays practiced in Iraq. There are no Martin Luther King and president days in Iraq and they are certainly not going to follow the mandates of you and your boss. Tell your boss that you want to use your personal holidays to study the bible and see what he says.
What are the Federal Holidays in 2009?
The United States Code specifies the following official government holidays in 2009:
New Year’s Day - January 1st
Martin Luther King’s Birthday - January 19th. This falls on the third Monday in January.
Inauguration Day - January 20th. Since 1965, this holiday is observed every four years following the general election in November of the preceding year. Note: Only certain Washington D.C. area federal employees will get this day off.
Washington’s Birthday (commonly known as President’s Day) – February 16th. This falls on the third Monday in February.
Memorial Day - May 25th. This is the last Monday in May.
Independence Day - July 4th. Since the Fourth of July falls on Saturday this year, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management has indicated that July 3, 2009 is actually the day that will be treated as a federal holiday for most government employees.
Labor Day - September 7th. This is the first Monday in September.
Columbus Day - October 12th. This falls on the second Monday in October.
Veterans Day - November 11th.
Thanksgiving Day - November 26th. This falls on the fourth Thursday in November.
Christmas Day - December 25th. The only religious holiday recognized by Congress, Christmas Day, always falls on December 25th.

007 This is something you should consider more seriously, whether or not you choose God in your life is the most important decision you will ever make. Live your life for Christ.

I have been staring at this comment for 10 minutes. I honestly do not even know how to respond to something like that. I mean it is just mind boggling. How can a normal capable person like yourself become so brainwashed from day one. It is truly absolutely and utterly TERRIFYING. I will, ummm what's the term, pray for you.

lol, sorry James, but when it comes to God, you should be the one asking the questions, not attempting to give answers about that which you do not know.
Sadly you will probably go your whole life and NEVER even listen, or seek to know the truth, and likely you will not find out until it is too late, but you will be without excuse because it will be shown that people tried to tell you and you would not listen.
Maybe someone that you trusted told you that it was stupid to believe in God. But they lied. Wake up my friend before it's too late. Perhaps God will have mercy on you and deliver you from foolishness.

Well stated, unfortunatly one cannot bring the horse to the watering hole if he has smelled the wild oats.
