(Voice of Iraq) - PNA-called Shiite Supreme Iraqi political forces to mutual concessions and flexibility in the talks so that it can form a new government and end the political crisis which plague the country.

He called Dr. Ahmed representative of the net's top Shi'ite cleric, Ayatollah Ali Sistani, in a Friday sermon in Karbala (110 km) south of Baghdad political blocs to make concessions and to give greater flexibility to form a new government.

He warned that the government's delay will cause grumbling people and discontent, especially while they "look desperate and confusion to the political debate gripping the country five months ago" was tired of the many promises fired by politicians. "Stressed the importance of the Iraqi political forces, the level of responsibility and not to give promises to form a government unfulfilled because the delay in the formation of government gives an additional hardship to the citizen and born of frustration. and called for political leaders to the lack of competition for top positions, but to provide service to citizens.

This is the most important article on this forum right now.
August has ALOT of important issues going on.
First and foremost, withdrawal of US combat forces will be complete at the end of this month.
The politicians should have a government formed before that happens.
Sistani has hit the nail with a 20lb sledge!
The politicians have just been scolded by their Supreme Leader.
Combine Sistani's proclamation with August's important issues, then there is renewed effort and hope the politicians will succeed in forming a government.
At least, that's what the free world is hoping for.

Seriously - between our Bungler in Chief and his incompetence in getting them to do anything meaningful, and the run of the mill Iraqi incompetence (albeit with a little unwanted help from Iran, no doubt), we have a critical situation which can undo every good thing that has been done up to this point. Forget about our investments for a second - nature abhors a vaccuum, and with the US departure, an Iraqi power vacuum might just be filled by someone we DON'T want.

I've been afraid of this for a long time - not to make this political, but the utter lack of involvement by this US president is one of the reasons for this delay. His lack of engagement on this front is simply staggering, and can be attributed to incompetence. Iraq is a critical player in the region, and one whose success can guarantee a bulwark against the advance of extremism (if it succeeds). If it fails, it merely adds another unstable powder keg to an already destabilized region...it needed great attention from day one, but it has unfortunately taken a back seat to our bungler in chief merely wanting to fulfill a campaign promise before his own demise during the mid term elections here.

Disgusting how politicians play with men's lives...makes me sick to think this could all be for naught...
