Iraq aims to become one of the world's leading oil producers, with output exceeding 5 million b/d.

Oil officials said firms besides Shell are already closing in on deals with the Iraqi government, or setting up shop in Baghdad.

I wonder what Mr. Browne is up to?.

Good info! Very positive. The only weak link in the scheme of things is the Iraqi government or lack thereof. If by some miracle the Iraqis could focus with one purpose they could be as the article said "an oil superpower."

Wake up Iraqis and start pumping!!!!!

if they can one day pump 5 million barrels a day our dinar will be worth a fortune, probably upwards of a buck or two or 3 imagine the revenues at that rate, terrorists will know this and will do anything to interrupt the flow of oil, they need a police force solely to protect every mile of pipeline in iraq, or else they will never achieve those numbers, still looks promising for the future, probable 5 years from now we can say I TOLD YOU SO TO ALL THOSE DOUBTERS

Soon all oil fields will be guarded like area 51. I have already been in touch with Washington on this!

I have a general question about paying taxes on monies in excess of the eighty thousand that is earned by some contractors. What some options to lower the tax that will have to be paid on the monies earned over eighty thousand dollars?

This thread is about Iraqi oil contracts not tax reduction. I'd suggest you consult a CPA.
