Just wondering how/if the time frame will affect the RV rate.
Just something to discuss.

so no one cares to express an opinion on this?
I think we will see a higher rate the longer we wait. Simply because Iraq's economy should improve as time goes on. Once the oil starts really pumping, they will be able to solve a lot of economic problems. At that point, the dinar's value should increase. If it has not hit the international market by that point, I think the NID will be worth more than it is today.

Sportslux,
I sure hope so......would be good to get this going soon so something else doesn't happen to stall things again. I do think it could get stronger before it's official showing with more oil (million's of barrels per day).

I think the number is and has been preset for awhile. The release is just an event away, whether it be the government actually starting to govern or some major event of that sorts. I also believe that the release will serve as a form of solidarity tool, to unite Iraq versus the sectarian divisions.

I suspect it's been set for a long time. My bet is they go to 700 IQD to 1 USD to start. I've changed my timeline a bit and think mid-summer will be the World release of Dinar convertability.
