CANBERRA: Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on
Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a
bid to head off potential terror attacks. A day after a group of mainstream
Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia at a special meeting with Prime
Minister John Howard, he and his ministers made it clear that extremists
would face a crackdown. Treasurer Peter Costello hinted that some radical
clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that
Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by parliament. "If
those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a
theocratic state, then Australia is not for you," he said on national
television. "I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two
laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another, the
Islamic law, that this is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law,
independent courts, democracy,
and would prefer Sharia law, and have the opportunity to go to another
country which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option,"
Costello said.

Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said
those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked move to the other
country. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that
Muslims who did not want to accept local values should "clear off".
"Basically, people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want to
live by Australian values and understand them, well then they can basically
clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on
Wednesday by saying he supported spies monitoring the nation's mosques.

BRITS, AMERICANS and CANADIANS.....ARE YOU LISTENING?
This is Leadership with guts! The way it is. The way it should be.
Our men and women died in two world wars to get us this country and we are
giving it away. Grow some hair!!!!!!

Fat chance...all the do-gooders and human rights activists in UK will be up in arms at such a statement. Sadly, no one has such guts in the UK to implement such a policy.

I wish the U.S. would take some notes from Australia....but we wont. Wish in one hand and shiite in the other and see which one fills up first. We need to get CAIR and the MSA the hell out of our country. They are just front groups for jihadi's who try (successfully I might add) to mollify the public into believing that Islam is soooo peaceful and jihad is just a personal struggle to stay on the right path or that all of these Muslim bad actors are simply seeking justice from oppressive western foriegn policy. All of which is a giant steaming pile of BS. If they want sharia, move back to the ME. But, the U.S. will never do that since Wahabi's and Salafists have thoroughly infiltrated our higher education departments, State Department, Media, etc., so that we are kept deaf, dumb and blind. Way to go Australia!!!

The problem with the uS is we are addicted to Muslim oil to make gasoline for our cars. We need to lose the addiction first.

I received this email and checked it out, it is legitimate according to the author. Thought it pertinent and worth adding to the discussion:

Allah or Jesus?

By Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn I directed my question to the Imam and asked: Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to heaven. Is that correct? The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, Yes.

I then stated, Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to heaven! The Imam was speechless.

I continued, I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question-would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and wants you to be with me? You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, Rick, remember that the truth will prevail. And it will!

Comments: The above text, circulating via email since September 2003, was written by Rick Mathes, executive director of Mission Gate Prison Ministry in Chesterfield, Missouri. In subsequent statements on the ministry's Website, Mathes affirmed that the incident took place exactly as described.

As to the substance of the alleged debate — whether or not it is a core tenet of Islam that believers must wage holy war against non-believers wherever they are found — there is fierce disagreement on that issue...

So true, so true.

I think we all should be making a big effort to conserve. Don't people who drive hummers and gas guzzlers know they are part of the problem? It's really quite unpatriotic to drive such cars.

I hope for oil freedom....soon.

You are so right, our crap we have here in government is dead scared of its own shadow, if they have one which I doubt, why do you think there are no mirrors in the blair household, its because they dont show up in them.

I dont believe that there is really that much debate on the meaning of jihad among Muslim scholars. Jihad was clearly defined in the first century of Islam and has not been redefined since. There are some who could be catagorized as reformers who would like to temper the concept but they truly know what it means, others use the debate to keep westerners thinking its a benign tenet. They are also careful not to discuss what comes after jihad and that is fatah. Fatah is the "openning" or conquest of infidel lands forcing the populations conversion or submission.

IMO, the debate in the Muslim world is not whether the west should be attacked by jihadi's but whether now is the time.

The entire world must submit to Gods law, i.e. sharia! No amount of debate is going to change that.

If he's available for a move, you're gonna have to fight this Yank for him! We need that guy here, too!!:D

Seriously though, I'd start applauding him, but once I started, I don't think I'd ever stop. I think I'll send this along to my Congressman, J.D. Hayworth. If anyone in the U.S. government would support a plan like that, he would.

And Kevmo - great posts as usual.

And when was the last time you flew to your destination instead of driving your hybrid?

I absolutely would love to be free from the shackles of oil, however you are sorely mistaken if you think it will happen in your grandchildren's lives, let alone yours.

Unpatriotic? You can't be serious dawling...... :lmao:
