BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraq's newly elected parliament met for a mere 30 minutes Thursday before adjourning as the sharply divided body sought consensus on a new national unity government. It was the parliament's first meeting.

Upon reading other articles it sounds like it was much better than CNN is reporting. They got sworn in...held a moment of silence...and called for calm and no civil war on Iraqi TV. So far so good.
