I had heard that Afghanistan had large deposits of oil a year or 2 ago. However when I researched it, I really did not find to much information. Well good for them, they need the cash. This is a very large country and I would not be surprised. If they find a ton more oil in those hills!

not to mention some time back, last year, i heard that china had wanted to build a pipeline across afghanistan from iraq to supply them with oil. apparently they wont need to build it quite so far now??
