Erbil: Consul General of the Palestinian announced in the Kurdistan Region Nazmi Hzori, during a meeting Thursday with the head of the Kurdistan Parliament Kamal Kirkuki, it's scheduled to open consulate in the Palestinian territory formally soon, according to a statement to inform the Parliament.
The statement, "The talks dealt with relations between the province of Kurdistan, Palestine, and some political issues."
The Ambassador conveyed Nazmi greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki to the President of the Kurdistan Parliament, noting that his country wishes to establish the best relations with the Kurdistan region, adding that "the two peoples, the Kurdish and Palestinian has a long history of struggle for their legitimate rights."
For his part, the head of the Kurdistan Parliament that "the status of Palestine was a phenomenon, and we were abreast of the events of this country," and expressed hope that "developing relations between the two sides at all levels."
