Twilight News / The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Thursday, that the Kurds do not want to respect the independence of the Iraqi constitution, their choice, despite the fact that every Kurd wishes to be an independent State, but he also said the federal and democratic Iraq is the most practical option for the Kurdistan Region.

Saleh explained that "a federal democratic Iraq that can be a practical option for the Kurds of Iraq," noting, "We've showed so far that this is our choice."
Saleh had said during his meeting with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, "The Kurds are worried about the stability of Iraq more than their partners in the homeland of the Arabs who are fighting for power in Baghdad."
And Saleh said that "if Iraq was divided, I confirm that the Kurds would not be the cause of an instrument of division," stressing that "the Kurds do not want independence, even though I respect the Iraqi constitution, their choice."
And through the favor of his concern about the future of Iraq, the planned withdrawal of the entire U.S. troops by the end of this year and said, "We are very concerned and we must be wary of a post U.S. withdrawal," adding that "the Kurds have benefited from the U.S. military presence in Iraq over the past two decades."
Salih stressed that "America has many political tools in the fields of diplomacy and cultural, through which you can expand the preparations and activities in Iraq in the post-withdrawal."
The newspaper noted that the opening of the U.S. consulate in Arbil, in the month of July was an investigation of one of the strategic goals of the Kurdistan Regional Government, pointing out that Barham Saleh stressed that "one of the most important priority is to develop and expand U.S. investment in the oil sector in the province of Kurdistan."
