When even the honest critics of the president exonerate him of scandalous behavior, the real scandal is that the dishonest, anti-Bush smearmongers are afforded any credibility at all.
Just the last paragraph on the news article. So what do you all think.:D

Sara.
Excellent post!
Truly the media tries to be the judge and jury on all things until the whole truth comes out.
But what about the revelation that President Bush "authorized the leak of secret information"? Isn't that a scandal in itself, and a big new revelation? No, for several reasons. First, it was not a new story at all.
Back on July 19, 2003, The Washington Post's Dana Milbank reported that the White House had declassified the National Intelligence Report on Iraq.
The Associated Press had a story on the declassification that next day. It was seen at the time as slightly unusual, but hardly a scandal.
I guess they were too busy creating other scandals that this one wasn't big enough for them at the time. Now that they have nothing to but a "bag 'o lies" the story was juicy enough.
But once again, their hawk turned into a dove! :lmao:
