Thanks to former PM Jaffari........................................... .... With oil prices above $70 a barrel fouling the world economy, "Iraq could be making a tremendous difference," said Dalton Garis, an economist at the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi. Instead, its shortfall is "a significant contributing factor to the high price of oil," he said.Iraq also lacks laws that would protect foreign investment, and its government is still sorting out whether oil will be controlled by the central government or the provinces."It's a mess," he said. "At some point Iraq is going to be back in the picture, but it's been a very bad couple of years. They're missing out." Thanks farquar. You really can't overstate just how much damage Jaafari did by pulling his stunts. Whether he was just a narcissistic freak or an Iranian puppet he caused a lot of problems. At least he's out of the way.

You got it REITman........................... Now that Jaffari is gone and Al-Qaida keeps posting their lies (BTW, want a good laugh- Al -Qaidas number 2(Zawahri) states that they broke the back of the US military in Iraq(RIGHT), I really feel we (IIF family) have a 3-4 month timeframe to peg. ;) :D :happy64:

It sounds like alot of the problem could be Iraq lacking its Oil Investment Law, which is soon to be created.
I don't remember any recent news of major oil sabotage that would have created export problems, the only recent problems I've heard of is people stealing the oil,.....
Anymore insights?
