Im just curious, It may be a dumb question but ill ask it anyway. Personally i have not told anyone, and ive known about it for several months. Its not that im selfish its just that most people will give me the "its to good to be true" speil that ive heard over and over again. What about you guys?

I've told a few people I've trusted (1 of which ended up investing.), but few really were receptive to the idea. That kind of speculative investing is beyond many people's "risk factor" - a long term investment with no payout and no firm date of profit and the Illiquid factor - was too speculative for most people I know.
401ks are much easier to understand and you get an immediate tax benefit and easy profits (and easy loses... ;)

PS
No one gets to know about my private investments normally - I just prefer it that way. ;)

I have shared this opportunity with family and friends. Most think I am crazy, a few think it is wrong to support Iraq and some have invested. I am proud of my investment and I am very excited to be a part of history.

i haven't told too many people, probably under 10, but it still amazes me that only 3 were interested enough to buy a little. and no one has been interested enough to get an account with warka, much less go with the ISX.
i saw this opportunity and it just hit me. this has the potential to be one of the biggest investments in history, not to mention helping a country to get back on it's feet after having been brutally suppressed for decades... what an incredible opportunity on so many levels!!
how could people not be interested enough to even do a little research??
but, no, most just smile and say good luck!!
i find this to be one of the most exciting, ongoing... experiences of my life and i am really hoping it bangs and doesn't fizzle, but, either way, it's been a trip.

I told only a few friends that I trust, and that I think respect me.
For the most part, I either get the 'The Iraqis are always going to be at each other's throats. Democracy will never work. Their economy will never be stable.' or the 'Yeah that sounds great!' lip service.

I've only told close family and friends mainly as a formality. This way if they don't get any Dinars then they can't get mad at me for not sharing the info when it hits big.
Three were forward thinking enough to buy some.

I don't talk about it to much and when I have for the most part there was a lot of negativity. So I don't bother anymore. I would hate to be the reason for someone loosing money as they would blame me even though I did tell them there were risk.
Probably over a hundred people.
I love showing them the 25,000 dinar note.
Some think it's neat, others think it's crazy, but they are respectful about it.
When I tell them about Warka, they laugh and say that's crazy enough to be great idea. :lmao:
I agree that it's something that people either "get it" or don't. I don't sell so I don't push it either.

Nobody told me about this investment and I just happened to come across this Iraqi Investment when I was surfing the internet. Since I am always open my mind to any investment, I got really hooked it and it was like love at first sight! I waited until I had my next pay and immediately invested 3,000,000 NID. Then I spread the words to all my friends and family members and guess what? To date, I have already sold 24 million NID. Another of my friend is going to buy another 17,000,000 NID very soon :)
I am sure with this new government, they will, somehow, be some kind of unity amongst the Iraqi People. Once we see some peace, I am very sure that the reval will take place. It might take place sooner than you imagine! So fingers cross!

And they All think I`m crazy, but when I was in the navy a friend told me to buy kuwait dinars and I didn`t. He said it could be one heck of deal and I thought he was crazy also! Now this comes along and it`s not going to pass me up. (Don`t care if it goes bust at least I took a chance.)

Maybe around 100. Most smile and say " good deal" but most don't. Those that I know of that have bought amount to around 15 people. Most with 1 mil. and under. Hubby and I are the biggest Investers with 8 mil then my daughter with about 4 1/2 mil. Our son is a police officer ( brand new) and is afraid of "were did the cash come from " syndrom. So hubby and I will buy him lots of tracable presents. Life in our house will be REAL GOOD. :0)

My husband and I have only told my brother whom is a divorced dad raising my niece himself and he is a construction worker...so I said do you trust me and he said why...I said give me $1 and I handed him an envelope that will leave him breathing easy when this revals. Then just the other day he brought me over some tomatoes and cucumbers from his garden...I had another envelope ready for him (barter system) this envelope should put his daughter through college when she gets older. I refused to take his veggies unless he took my envelope. This way he can say he invested. Now, the only other people we told was my mother and father and my father is one of these guys that is extremely skeptical but I thought I better tell them so they don't say we would have like to have invested. Needless to say It's just my husband, myself, and my brother. We have a 15 year old daughter who will turn 16 on September 11 and she said she would like to have a few thousand for a Hummer 3. We told her don't worry about it...if this pans out like we think...all she has to do is pick the color! :D

Charmed, have you thought about how this would work out from a cashing in pov? What will your bro (or whomever else) do when and if the bank asks for proof that he purchased the bill(s)?

The proof is in the bills...a fellow soldier of my husband's who has boots on the ground now told us that the bills themselves are proof of authenticity. Only need to prove date of purchase if claiming long-term capital gains over a year and that would be IRS wanting proof of length in possession. (He is an activated reservist who is does something in corporate law when not activated).

When doing this year's taxes, I will give gifts of 1mil NID (under $900 USD) that will clear me of having to cash in and give them the money after taxes, and will provide proof to the receipients of their basis when they cash in.

I was telling everyone but only seven people that I know of purchased any. One person ordered 2 million, one person ordered 1 mil., one person about 500,000, the rest only 50,000 - 125,000.
I'm not telling hardly anyone now. I'm just waiting for our ship to come in.

I told a lot of people about it and I even had a few join the group I'm in. But I was told last year that it was a minimum of five years to see any return. I can wait for as long as it takes and if nothing ever happens well it was one heck of a ride. It's a bonus to come to this forum and laugh at all the so called information a lot of people seem to have. At least I can say I met my ISX trader in the Green Zone last year. I am just chillin and waitin. lol:lmao:

I've told more than a few people. Almost all think I'm crazy. I may be. But then so are all of you that own dinars. I guess that makes us the Black Sheep of the investment family. But then again.... I've always got a kick out of rooting for the underdog whether I win or lose.

I have absolutly no idea, for well over a year I have told every person I run into every day. I have sent them to 4 different dealers and the last six months to only two dealers as I have got to know them and I do trust both of them, especially one of them in fact he has told me that he has sent 300 to 400 packets of NID to my town alone with anywhere from 1/4 mil to 10-20 mil per packet. And we have a population of around 3500 people and thats only one dealer I have sent people to. We have some people that have bought 100 mil and more in our group, this includes my friend that told me about it. So I have no idea who has told who that told who ect ect ect ect. But a lot of people. I sometimes wish I would have got a Treasury License to sell them and I would probably have a few (lot)more than I have. I do believe that we will never see anything like this again in our lifetime. I didn't want friends and family to come back and say Aren't I good enough to be told about this? And I have to say a lot more have purchased than have not purchased.

I was told about this investment by a friend, did my reading and research, then found out people on the forums research MUCH better and FASTER than I could!!! So I read all of YOUR ALL'S research and jumped in with both feet. I am not in this nearly as long as most, I read alot in Aug 2005, then made my decision to go for it in November 2005.
I have told ALOT of people. About 25-30 co-workers. Some said it seemed like a great idea, but only 1 invested. Now they ask me how my "Funny Money" is doing. I tell them 1 day it will be doing great!! They still just laugh at me, which is ok. United Airlines took away my retirement, and hopefully I wont be there long enough to work until I could "retire".
My family.... My mom and dad have a little, my aunt and uncle have a little more. My brother wanted to do it, but his wife said good luck:rolleye03 . The rest of my family knows about it, but they didnt invest.
Sorry to be so long winded...........

I have personally told 18 people and my family. Every one of the friends have purchased in excess of 1 million. They are all very happy. I have my dinars safe and sound waiting for the r/v. I have invested in the Dinar for over 2 years.

I've told a few friends and my brother. My friends just laugh and think I'm nuts. My brother just says yeah it could work out, but he's not investing. I'm not telling my dad because his motto is "if it's too good to be true, it usually is", and he would probably try to make me sell back my dinar. I might tell a few co-workers, but haven't decided yet. I don't feel like telling a lot of people because a lot of people (especially in the US) are negative towards Iraq.
Hopefully I will be the one laughing in the end!

I told my friends co-workers and some family members they all looked at me as if I've lost my mind except my mother she is a believer. I told a cousin that does a lot of investing he acted as if I was a the worst person in the world he gave me evey reason he could think of why investing in Iraq was useless. After debating with him for a few minutes I just smiled said you are right and bought more dinars the next day.

I've told 12 individuals about this . I'm beginning to think we should have a part B to this Poll.
Of the number of people we told about this, what percentage of them bought some dinar.
Without any of you being asked this second question, a lot of you are answering part B ...... LOL
Of the twelve I told about it I know 9 have bought some dinar, two did not, and another I'm not sure about.
