This is politics my friends, and the Iraqis are playing it well. You see, it does not matter internationally whether Iraq supports Irans nuclear plans because the Iraqis understand that they are not a deciding factor in this issue. The importance of making such a vague statement is the effect that it will have internally pertaining to the insurgences that is associated with Tehran. The idea is - if Iraq is supporting Iran, then why should Iran not support Iraq "idealistically." The game of deception is the most crucial aspect of this war, so like the Iranians the Iraqis must be exstremely astute in this game.

Lost in translation?
Does the CNN have problems with translation from Arabic to English or is it a case of deliberate twisting of facts?
Listening to the 2nd version of the story (in Zibari's own voice) it is clear that Iraq recognizes Iran's right to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes exclusively and is moreover asking Iran for guarantees, not the other way around CNN!
