BAGHDAD -(Dow Jones)- One of Iraq's two offshore oil export terminals, Khor al-Amaya, needs up to 4 months of repairs after an explosion that set it on fire last week, a spokesman for the South Oil Company said Wednesday.
In Baghdad, head of the State Oil Marketing Organization Falah Alamri said that crude planned to be loaded from Khor al-Amaya would be transferred to the nearby but larger Basra terminal.
He didn't say how much, but Khor al-Amaya usually loads vessels with capacities of less than half million barrels.
Alamri said that Iraq is currently exporting around 1.5 million b/d from Basra oil terminal.
