In lieu of so many rumors, I want to see how many people in Arizona are prepared or getting prepared for the (if any) reval. I would like to see what steps have you taken to get ready. Has anyone spoken to a Tax Lawyer to see what loops are available for us?

Also, a while back there was allot of talk about a group of people joining forces to be able to negotiate a better rate from local banks. Is anyone apart of such groups?

Any other information you guys would like to add, I and other Arizonians would appreciate it.

Well, as long as your asking for a Floridians opinion, I think it is a great idea. There is strength in numbers. Iwould be willing to trade & compare ideas with anyone.
One idea I had a while back was to take a portion of my dinars and open an account with Oanda. (www.oanda.com (http://www.oanda.com)). They offer an interest bearing account for Forex traders. Just in case the value does happen to rise, you would already have the account open and the Dinars deposited, you could sell on a moments notice.

Just an idea, lemme know if you want to exchange some other ideas.

That WOULD BE kinda awkward though.. "excuse me Mr. Bank Branch manager. I have a group of investors holding roughly 300 million dollars worth of NID that we would be interested in exchanging for USD. We'd like to discuss the possibility of a reduction or perhaps waiver of transaction fees if we were to choose to bring our business to your bank." I can already see the security guard walking me out with this opening statement. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am not really sure what to do when anything were to happen. We will just have to see. Some of our group is talking about overseas ventures, while others are thinking they shouldnt be greedy on a small investment with a huge return. I do need to consult a tax attorney.

I have a few freinds that are also talking about overseas investments, but I thought that I heard a while back that the US Gov. is cracking down on foreign bank accounts. I believe I heard something about that when a lot of these big corporations began moving their home offices to Hamilton, Bermuda. That seems to be the new hotspot.
I agree that it would be wise to consult a tax attorney at the appropriate time.
Has anyone got any legitimate input on the overseas account situations, ie, the do's and don't's of overseas investing?

RECONAZ,

This thread is a very good idea for all members to be considering as the R/V approaches. I too live in the great state of Arizona and am the proud owner of a few NID. I live i n the metro Phoenix area and would like to be part of the solution to the problem of selling our dinars to the highest bidder at the lowest possible cost.

With that said, I would like to offer a bit of information gathered this week by a friend in the Phoenix area in regards to selling the dinars. He visited his bank in the west valley (B of A) and asked about the proceedure to sell his dinars. He was told the there is no cost for the bank to buy the dinar if you are an account holder with them.

While he was at the bank he just happened to have his dinars with him and they provided an authenticity check on his notes (25K) while her was there. All of his notes were the real thing with all the security features. We all know that had these bills been counterfiet, they would not accept or buy them after the R/V. These bills were purchased on EBay about a month ago from a respectable seller.

However, our group has stopped making EBay purchases after the bank robber in Baghdad last month for fear of getting stolen notes. As we know, the stolen 50 dinar coins have appeared and sold in auctions on Ebay over the last few months. My questions to all IIF members is this, How can we protect ourselvres form purchasing these stolen notes without knowing they are stolen until we get the the bank and they check the serial numbers and tell us they are stolen and the notes confiscated.

That would be a major dream buster to the investors I know amd many of them have purchased on Ebay. Is there a list of the serial numbers and denominations of these stolen notes we can post for those still looking to invest via Ebay?

Reconaz,
I am from Peoria. I am sharing my ideas and hope it makes sense to you.
I have diversified my Irag investment with ISX, Warka Aaccount and cash in hand (well in the bank vault). I have some of every denom notes from 25,000 down to 50 dinar bills.
2 scenarios-
Internal reval - I am going to reduce my Warka account by $20,000 to recoupe my investment, and wait for international reval. I will reinvest my $20,000 in other investments.

When the reval happens
I own property in Tenn and at first I thought I would go there to cash in my first handful. I have done more research now and am most likely going to open a Nevada corp (no corp tax and no personal tax) Tenn has tax on interest and dividends. My family and I have an Arizona Corp. and I believe we will bring that to a close to open in NV. The corp provides us with paid
insurances and income. You may think "We will be millionaires we don't need income" but my plan is for what ever the reval is, .01 to ??? I plan on keeping my ISX account intact as is and let that grow until ???????

I am going to reduce my cash inhand by cashing in my 25000 dinar notes first. My family and I are very simple people, we don't need or seek a lot of material things or showy things. We do want to travel though and that is what the initial cash in is for. We don't have any bills (except normal monthly , elec etc.)

I think the fees for exchange are going to be changing when the dinar reval happens because of the opportunity to make money. I think banks will start upping the fees to cash in themselves. So I will look for the best option when the time comes.
Some on the forum will undoubtedly say "what on earth are you talking about" or "that's stupid, I'm cashing mine in all at once" or some other idea. I don't mind, you asked for some ideas and I just wanted to respond to you. We won't let them spoil our dreams.

Hello LovedemDinars,

I have do some research, How long have you had your dinars? If you had the per your receipt over a year you are only taxed 15%, if less than that you should have opened and account over in NV. 6 months ago with an NV. mailing address.
I have doing a lot of research in this because of our Government at Work if you get my drift.

You can email me if you would like.
