View Full Version : Important! Warka Stock Procedure

Since the new manager took over - this is how the process works
1. Submit order-
2. Warka fill what the can and that order is DONE
3. Warka send you details
4. If you want new stocks you must resubmit an order- which they notified some of you already this is the new way

Bottom line is Mr I said it was impossible to keep track of the partial orders while people were still sending in new requests

Honestly , this is a good method in my opinion. Cut and dry. Submit an order- heres what filled, Start over.

For all the parties sending in stock requests - heres a few reasons they arent being filled
1) THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH SHARES TO BUY- look at the daily volume of each stock
We're not ordering burgers in a drive-thru with food waiting for us to come- supply and demand.

2) STOCKS THAT ARE IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETINGS ARENT TRADING-
- follow www.isx-iq.net regularly to learn who is entering these meetings
Dont request these stocks as they cannot be filled until trade resumes.

3) NO ONE IS OFFERING TO SELL THEIR SHARES FOR SOME COMPANIES
-obviously this will change from day to day

4) Multiple requests for same company-
Again if 5 people want Mosul Bank and only 3 contracts get filled. It may mean 2 people miss out on this session. SUPPLY NOT MEETING DEMAND

For whatever reason, Sending E-mails during bank hours seems to get the best results for response. Reminder Baghdad is 9 hours ahead of central time zone-adjust your time accordingly.

Just be persistant - and appreciate anything you can get now at these prices because once the flood gates open- now you will be competing with the masses and these prices will be distant memory.

In a strange way- the security struggle is benefiting ISXers with "long term vision". Iraqis with either no money or those who've moved funds elsewhere contribute to the low volume, BUT this will change and fast once ISX ready electronic.

Thanks Chaha. Good reminder to all to be patient and persistent. It may be happening slowly but over time the small amounts of stock DO accumulate.

Hello, I'm not clear as to what I'm supposed to put where the above xxxxxx show up. On the (Mr. xxxxxx) part, do I simply put whoever is in charge of stocks at Warka, or do I put my own name instead?

Also from what number do you guys find out how much I would put in the (XXXXXX Iraqui Dinar) commission part?

Sorry guys I'm a newbie and I did not get those two parts, can you guys help me out here?

I know it can be hard, but try your best to be patient. It took almost two weeks for me to place the order, have it executed, and receive the spreadsheet detailing my stock picks. Warka is executing over 1000 trades every trading session so they are busy. Keep in mind in regards to your international wires, that it can take 2-7 business days depending on season and time of week. There is something to be said about playing the waiting game and it can be a challenge especially with March 18 rolling around the corner next week. Don't send more than 1 email every few days or so. Mr I and team are busy and will get back to you in time.

Yes this form is for Warka to buy shares for you acting as your proxy. You may have them transferred into your name if you wish but the process for this is somewhat involved (it is described elsewhere on the ISX forum) and so many are happy to let Warka hold the shares for them. I hope this helps you understand the need for the wording. Warka are just making it clear that if you sell the shares (by asking them to sell them for you) then they will make the commision charge stated. That is effectively their dealing charge for selling.

50,000 x 6.2 = 310,000 + 1% buy commission

i have 2 accounts with warka and to buy ISX stock is not just by sending a letter and the money.

all the procedures take time but the real bad part is that you have to be certify by the iraq embassy in your country. example it cost around 300 dollars and you have to go thru the arabian embassy. this i was told by my brasnch manager in baghdad

Dear Mr. Chakkarchee,

With the ISX going electronic the process and procedures have become unfortunately lengthier your sell orders will continue until sold. As bids are made on your shares and sold my department will credit the funds to your account providing a confirmation.
