The first big clash of Big Ten powers?? What do you think?

Penn State hasn't really shown the power to take this one but i'll go out on a limb and say Joe Pa will have something for them and it will all depend on breaks in the first quarter setting the momentum!!!

One thing that you need to remember...BIG TEN games are notoriously difficult games.

The players take a LOT of pride in a BIG TEN game and this year Ohio State has it in for PSU...however, JoePa hasn't been one of the most winning coaches in history for nothing.

I think that this will be a fantastic game if PSU can get their special teams in tact and the rush blocking improves dramaticlly. Morelli has one of the best arms in college football, he is just very green.

I say that this game will come down to the wire. Big defense on both sides.

I truly wish I could share your optimism. I agree with you, but I have a pit big enough for a buckeye to fit in my stomach.

Damn Caddieman you are funny!!! Great to have you around!!!
But really 16.5 points, that seems a bit high. This will be a tough game for the BUCKS cuz PSU always plays them tough.
GO BUCKS!!!

He believes that Mark Richt* becomes a better coach anytime Penn State loses..... :lmao:

* I'll spare you the Google and tell you he's the head coach of Georgia

It seems to me though if Mark Richt had been coaching as long as ole Joe Pa you would know his name regardless of the record. Take for instance the coach at Grambling prior to Doug Williams taking over. He was at a small school but just because of the sheer amount of time he coached there, I almost was able to recall his name. I just want to see Ohio State v/s Auburn in the NC!:happy64:

Longevity is the result of success.

Immortality is the result of great success.

Paterno has both.

Eddie Robinson I believe....

I have no doubt he was just as instrumental in the lives of countles young men as Bowden, Paterno, etc etc...

BTW...the buckeyes by 17...at least.

I tell you I hope when I am his age I will be able to run back and forth from the locker room to the sideline as well as he does. That to me is impressive in itself. BTW Lakeway you are saying OSU over AU by 17????

You are correct. I have the utmost respect for Bobby Bowden just because of his morals and values. He is a man of God and he has no shame and telling others that.

I agree whole heartedly. Great coaches win on and off the field.

The fact that Penn State uniforms have remained virtually unchanged since Paterno started coaching is a testament to his principals on "team" sports. No names and no flash. Just get on that field, play hard, and show respect to your school AND to your opponent.

Truly a Bowden trait that I admire.

Penn State was playing tough and if not for the last minutes would have covered the spread. Rain can knock out a high powered offense and thats what it did in the first half for both teams. Once again, Buckeye defense is why they win games!!

Buckeye defense looks great.

Not quite the blowout many thought would take place.

Score did not reflect the game.

Joe Pa still has the job from what I heard, even with the flu. :p

I agree PSU played them tougher than I thought they would.

I was impressed with the speed they showed.

I agree the rain didn't do either team any favors.

What is the bIG game this weekend??
