any F1 fans here?
only 2 races left, who's going to take it, MS or Alonso (or as i like to call him, "the eyebrows of Spain")? Would be a great thing for mikey to go out an 8 time world champion.

oh and if you come here to bash F1, just go away. I have twin daughters who's middle names are Senna and Mansell.......no seriously!! I have a deep rooted hatred for nascar, but i would never go to their thread to bash it and say things like "it's a just a big 2 hour commercial where last place even gets over $30,000."

:lmao:

Funny thing is that whole Nascar thread started when a few "Left Turn Lovers" started bashing football during the Superbowl. What goes around comes around only twice as hard. :drunk:

F1 is great! Lets get in going here! Atleast with F1 you have to know the difference between your "left" and your "right"! (RET will kill be for that one :p )

It would be great to see Shumacher complete the comeback and go out a champion, but Alonso is the real deal and will dominate this sport for the next 10 years.

Suzuka should be a classic. Enjoy this one while you can. This kind of race only comes around once every ten years.

Suzuka is always a great race, it's just an awesome track. It will be interesting next year to see kimi driving for Ferrari. I've liked him for a long time and always knew he was stuck in a crap car. The poor guy just hasn't had a reliable car in years, if so we'd be looking at a different battle right now.
Dont worry Ret, at least you get Montoya! and thank goodness for that, that guy belongs in nascar. playing "bumper cars" and open wheel cars just dont mix well. The wreck in the first turn at the USGP this year was absolutely 100% his fault, i saw it with my own eyes and there was no mistake. Poor little Heidfeld went for a wild ride on that one. JPM did the 1 worst thing you can do, he took out his own team mate yet again! Lets face it, unless you're driving a Minardi, you cant get away with hitting your own team mate very often before people start getting mad about it.

edit: and sports, eyebrows is good because he's in a good car, wait till next year when he jump in the Mclaren which is not as reliable. Kimi will be driving Ferrari so things will get very interesting. Also, lets not forget Kubica, that guy is amazing!

Schumacher for me!! Momentum is on his side and whilst there may not be much in it when it comes to the cars/drivers schuey most definately has won the psychological war. Alonso has been hitting out at race stewards/his own team and teammate recently! So yep its michael for me.

Cant wait to see Raikonen in a Ferrari next year. Kimmi must be the most unluckiest driver over the past couple of years when it has come to retirement and engine failures and I'm hoping the tide will turn for him with Ferrari.

Wow @ your daughters middle names darthnip!! I was too young to remember much of Senna. Only got into F1 during the Damon Hill/ Schumacher battles!

Blech. He won't last long. He doesn't belong there either ... kinda like R. Gordon. Blech. Blech. Blech.

BTW, I'm a F1 fan, too. :shhh:

RET - hahahahahahahha thats awesome, i've been calling scott speed the robby gordan of F1 all year. I agree, JPM doens't really belong anywhere, but he certainly does not belong in F1. his mentality does not match his driving skill, which is little to non-existant. at first he reminded me of gilles villenueve, always on the edge and pushing the boundaries, but then i realized he just plain sucked.
anyone go to the USGP? I live 30 miles from the track and my company has a suite so i get prime seats. sadly, next year might be the last year of it if Bernie has his way. Americans are simply not ready for the passion involved in F1 i'm afraid. I've followed F1 since i was 3 years old and i've been a die hard Ferrari worshipper since age 7. my wife wasn't keen on the idea of my twins middle names, but considering she was hip to the first names we gave them, i knew i could get it passed her. Their first names are Regan and Ripley, named after the exorcist and Alien. So i'm a horror movie and f1 fan, i cant help it! actually their names fit them perfectly, Regan was a hardcore projectile vomiter as a baby, and Ripley is a hardcore "take no BS form anyone" type of kid. The get up early sunday mornings and watch the races with me, they know the drivers and teams. You can imagine what a proud pap i was last week when they were walking showing some pit wall footage and Regan said "gee daddy, Flavio needs a haircut." damn near brought a tear to my eye

and of course, we are going to the last race to see what happens. unbelievable how the Ferrari gave up the ghost, last time for MS was 2000. i'm calling Renault sabatoge!! It will definately make an interesting brazil. MS has the money he could put up a bounty on ole eyebrows, 5 million to the driver who takes him out.
