When the USD can buy less units of another currency then that other currency is getting stronger so in this case the Iraqi currency is (I'm not gonna work out the percentage) is a little bit stronger than yesterday as it's more valuable

I thought I would check the history of the auction prices at the CBI.
on Jan. 31 2004 the price settled at 1360 vol.of 100,000

The price began to rise and as of May 6, 2004 it settled at 1460 on a vol of 13.675 mil. it remained amazingly stable at that price for the remainder of the year and through to Mar. 28 2005 even as vol. rose to levels of 39.590 mil. to a 1 day high of 60.210 mill.

Beyond that it rose to levels between 1460 > 1478 and stablized in that range and vol. levels rose to 50>79.760 mill.

It seems that the dinar over-all is really pretty darn stable. I'm not sure were Im going with this but it seems were better of with this stability at the CBI. While they crunch the numbers in order to set the currency price on the open exchange!

Can anyone clean this up for me? I guess I'm thinking if the settled price tomorrow went back to 1475 +- then I would be OK with that at least until it is traded on the Forex.

Well I won't be so arrogent to attempt to answer that, but your sig. Is a good place to start:)

I'll say this though, some say this play is like a lottery, others that it is a gamble. I think givin the people backing this model there's a better than 75% shot at a payoff short term (end of 06) and 90% shot long (2010).
No crystal ball here, just a gut shot draw! I think, as I said before .31 to .68 usd. Also I've got 80% of my gambling budget for 2006 invested, in other words I didn't bet anything I couldn't afford to lose! I'll do it again in 07-08-09 and 10 as long as there is a parlimentary government in Iraq and the rv doesn't price me out!:happy64:
