With what info Dinar_OS posted, I'm getting kinda soft on the old Dong, it's down now and may never git up there again. When I was in-country in 1969, the Dong or Piaster was 118 to our Dollar, oh heck, maybe I'll contact Chase and see just how much a bushel basket of the stuff is worth. If I live long enough.............................

From where the Ruble is now, what are the prospects? Going to Bank of America tomorrow morning, I hear they sell Dinar and Dong, everybody sells the Ruble. I'll be back with that information. If I read that thread correctly, the Ruble is currently worth around $.26?

Really, the stuff is priced right! Get some, put it away and forgetaboutit. VietNam is the next China, why not invest in two severely undervalued currencies? You'll hate yourself later-on. I keep telling the wife, "Don't worry hon, the old Dong will get back up one of these days!"

It all depends on where your Dong is invested....In other words....it depends on who is holding your dong whether it goes up or down.

The last time I visited Hanoi I had my dong invested at all times and it was always up.

So what you are really saying then, is like all good investments you had to spread your Dong around a bit for it to stay up.

My friend is Vietnamese and she told me about Dong being depreciated in value. She showed me the currencies and the value of them were huge!
10000, 100000 etc! She told me that Dong were useless outside the country. UK Banks will not exchange these notes at all. You cannot buy any DONGS in UK too.

Physically, the higher dong denoms are larger than the smaller ones.

Yes...I think it's a good idea...I'm now single so I can afford to invest in a wider market. Of course, it's a dangerous market out there, so protect your assets at all times.
