Did anyone see anythhing about the bank being closed the last week of rahmadan....I remeber seeing thier hours..during it and thought it did say they were closing the last week ....am I wrong ??? and how can they handout the 10,000 if they are closed..or will they open on the 24th ,,,doent the next holiday ..start the last day of Rahm..... ???

They have never closed down for rahmadan before so why this time? I still think they are ramping up for something and in the IMF report that came out in August on page 53 it said that the IMF thinks the CBI should revalue the curreny if they can't control inflation. Remember raising loan rates only affects a solid economy and Iraq raised theirs and it did nothing to change inflation. The only way to curb inflation for them is to RV the money and give money to the people. That way they can acually afford to eat and that would also lower the violence, which the violence and black market are causing the inflation.

Maybe I'm trying to hold onto something thats not there. I really hope it does go threw because selling insurance has gotten really old for the last 2 years and I want out.

We know the ISX is closed next week for Eid the holiday, that follows Ramadan. Banks could very well also be closed during this time. The Eid holiday which is a big celebration following Ramadan can last 1 day to a week or more. I think i read somewhere that in Iraq it is a three day holiday, but cannot remember for sure.

It is back up but it still reads Monday, which is still really good news!!!!!!!!
in fact it being up and not updated could mean an RV is in the works time will tell.

A friend emailed and said the status is back to normal but a nameserver was changed. Possible the cause of the fiasco.
Good that there have been no auction though, I think?
