Japan recently lost out in developing neighboring Iran's giant Azadegan oilfield after Tehran grew weary with the project's slow progress. The United States had opposed the deal.
Shahristani said Japanese firms were interested in oilfields in southern Nassiriya.

what happened with the gold that was found in some off-shore account?

was it legit or just a rumour?

I am not sure where to get a link on that.
There is money being made hand over fist in Iraq.
Money is pouring in and we were there first.
THE WORLD NEEDS OIL. HANG ON this is getting real good.
I will look for the golden link, this is awsome.
I do not see ANY reason to be negative with news like this.

no really.......it was apparently iraqi owned gold right? a few billions worth?

it would help with foreign reserves, i guess thats why im asking. it would seem relevant to peakoil's claim of money coming from the sky which i dont doubt, but would like some clarification on because i think its a possible "coincidental" scenario


Which Japan and China promising loans in the billions to develop the oil fields with nothing due for forty years.
Man what a sweet heart of a deal.
It will not end there......I hear a sucking sound of money going into my deserving accounts?

I know, that's what kills me regarding this whole investment. There is only a gut feeling that can truely guess what will unfold here just too many variables.

Sure but this is only ONE example of the many drops being retained.
Between the US ,Asia, and the European Union the amount of holdings being held at Iraq's gate is so large the 14-trillion IQD in circulation is peanuts, escpecially when most of these what I refer to REALESTATE holdings being held for the partitioning of the Eastern block of Iraq's oil resources will not be required to be paid back for many, many years to come.
