So today i called chase to see if they could get me some dinar, the teller said yes...so i went there to plac my order and some lady told me that you need an account. So i guess my question is do you need a account there?and also do you pay when you order or when you recive the dinar?

you need an account. i had a family member that had an HELOC (home equity line of credit) with them, so they purchased for me. You pay when you order, they only accept cash. Sometimes they charge a $5 fee, sometimes not. you receive usually day after or 2 days after. you pickup at chase location. Very convenient.

That lady is goofy !! you dont need an acount there..I just took a friend there today and he got 250,000 ...and used his debit card and even told her he didnt have an acount there :)......and I have bought at chase a few times myself...:) no acount :)

I think its all up to which teller you get. Try a different chase bank, or possibly a different teller if you dont want to open an account. I was personally told by my teller " We can accept nothing other than cash", so yeah, it really is up to the teller.

good luck! :huge:

maybe its just that I am the one to get the bad tellers! first the HSBC people dont want to put through my wire transfer, and now these Chase people insisting on an account! :drunk:

I think this is accurate. I have placed two separate orders with Chase and can confirm that cash is not the only option.

I do have account with them however. I do not know if this had anything to do with it or not. No transaction fee either time.

you get the option of small, large or mixed bills, I asked for small recieved 25k notes, my brother in law got 10k notes and som 250 notes. no account needed, $5.00 charge pay when you order

you do not need an account, and ask to speak with manager to clear this up, the $5.00 which they sometimes charge is for the " currency exchange fee "
ie. just another way to tack on another 5bux, 24 hour turn-around, you can ask for small, medium, or large denominations, but they will ship you whatever they want...

Just walked out of small town Chase, $377 per $500,000 Dinar. Took all of 5 minutes at the teller window with $5 fee and no account.

It'll be overnighted from Phoenix and be here tomorrow afternoon!

I'm from Janesville, WI. I have been thinking about buying some more from Chase but every branch I call says they cannot help me. I guess I might have to actually go in person and try.

Thats funny because the teller I went to said she hears crap about investments all day long and she said it just like that, LOL! Said she doesn't have time to listen to what people have to tell her, doesn't want to hear it!:lmao:

Anyone want to bet where she works and what she's making per hr 10 yrs from now, LOL!

Something about the whole scenario with Chase doesn't sound right. If I understood everything said, you could go to one teller and be told "cash only" and maybe or maybe not a 5 dollar fee, and another one might say something different. What's wrong with this picture folks????? I would have to go to the branch manager, or maybe even the regional and ask why there is no standard operating principle! The principle of it alone would dictate that I complain formally to "higher management". In a bank, of all places, you'd think EVERYONE would HAVE to be on the same page since it might cost you money you didn't HAVE to part with. Think about it...

Well I have been to 2 differnt branches here in Salt lake valley Utah and same at both !!! no problems at all..without an acount !!

I thought I would see if Chase bank in little old Mansfield Ohio, sells Iraqi
currency. When I called the teller said yes that they sell just about any foreign currency. When I stated I wanted Iraqi Dinar, she had to put me through to the manager. I must have been the first one to ask about the IQD cause she didn't even know what Iraqi currency was called. Anyways to make a long story short, she looked it up and said yes they are selling it! A $5.00 fee for non-customers, and if I ordered today it would be in tomorrow after 10:00 am. Ididn't get a price per million, but I bet it beats any dealer! I was surprised they are selling, I thought I would have to travel to Columbus or Cleveland to buy more dinar.

Every chase banks sells and buys the dinar. If they say they dont its because they dont know what it is or they dont want to do it. I would tell everybody that is interested in buying from chase to just go to the branch to purchase. Dont call, because they all should be selling and buying. It might take them a while because it is something new, but be patient. It is the easiest way to purchase the dinar.

As I stated, $377.00 per half million (plus $5) and one day wait. Can't beat it I don't think

but I bet it beats any dealer!

I called the Chase branches in Conncticut and none of them sell NID. One of the tellers told me to try Citibank. I tried but they don't sell either.
Connecticut does not sell IQD, bummer.

Every Chase has a Currency list and every chase has Iraq Dinar on this list. Ask the teller to look on the currency list and if a teller has trouble ask them to ask for help. Every Chase sells Dinar...

You have to go in person to buy, your wasting your time by calling. You order it in CT and they overnight it to that branch, you pick it up ~24 hours later...its that simple.

For the Houston area, I've used the branch on FM1960/HW290 (NW side of Houston). My last purchase was probably about a month ago. I stopped by there today to check and they are STILL selling.
