Lieutenant (A - H) in brigade 17 of the Iraqi army said that “the deputy commander of brigade 17 of the Iraqi army ordered the officers and employees of the brigade in Mahmudiyah and Yusifiyah areas southern Baghdad to vote on behalf of the list of the ruling party led by Prime Minister”.
He added that the commander threatened that “special voting” he enable him to know “in case anyone elects another list”.
Military personnel in Iraq cast ballots one day ahead of other people in what so called a special voting day, which is dedicated to security forces voting.
Provincial elections planned to be conducted April 20 in order to elect legislative councils and the local governments of each province of Iraq.
