the good news is that you do not need to be a resident in the state to open an acct; personal or business at chase bank. those who live on the west coast or nv. can open an acct in az. no local address needed.

I contacted Chase last Friday and spoke to three different individuals who confirmed the following.
Because of the "Patriot Act" you have to personaly go into a branch and open an account. Then you can go online or do phone orders, to do foreign currency exchanges.

well, the person i spoke w/said i could fax the info and then send the initial deposit. i asked if i had to make a personal appearance and i was told no. i did the same w/boa-no personal appearance necessary-however w/boa i needed or my biz entity needed a residence in the state. all was completed via the mail.
