I saw this before. I think he's probably using a mass Warka account and segregating the funds for his clients (buyers).

I just spoke with the guy at the other end of the 800 number in that E-Bay listing, and talk about a rip off... You have to trust a brand new (3 months old) company in the US (Ameraq Securities) with your last 4 of your social and your mother's maiden name, and yet he tells you that with the considerably more info you would normally provide to an Iraqi bank to open an account, he knows of cases of identity theft. Then, you get no interest on your funds. He also claims that the 25,000 denomination is being discontinued on 1/1/2007, but can't provide any source for that information. Sounds to me like basic scare tactics, and the interesting thing is that he claims they have close to 1 billion dinar in deposits. Ameraq deposits your funds in their account in Al Warkaa bank in Jordan, and of course gets all the interest. The only benefit here is you don't actually have a foreign account in your name. Significant British or Australian accent on this person as well. I, for one, wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole (or any other such object).

got this response from the seller..
The money is deposited at Al-Warka bank in Jordan, managed over here by Ameraq Securities in an account which you can monitor online with your own user id and password. No ISX. Withdrawals are at the push of a button. Charlie 800-493-6374

I don't trust anyone who types in all caps.
Supposing I had a 10 foot barge pole I wouldn't be interested ! As for the aussie accent, well it's not me !

Take a closer look at their feedback and be sure to set the page to look at 200 feedbacks. Their shouldn't be as many negatives for the reasons shown in the feedback. It suggests a pattern of occasional "hard times" failures to do the right thing. In most cases it means they often take unwarranted risks and then when something goes wrong they chargeback or avoid shipping or whatever else is convenient.
