The Iraqi national conference, considered a key step in the country's fledgling steps toward democracy, has been postponed for two weeks in an effort to entice boycotting parties to participate, a conference spokesman said Thursday.
The conference had been scheduled to begin on Saturday, but was postponed at the request of the United Nations (news - web sites), according to Abdul Halim al-Ruhaimi, a conference organizer.

Is this cause for concern, or do you all consider it a good thing? I could see it both ways.
