We havent had the drops against the Stirling that the Dollar has had, as I said on the other thread maybe its the catch up...about time if so due to the fact we have had to watch the Americans celebrate over the past couple of weeks perhaps its our turn now.

You can't simply look at the number of points it dropped. You must look at the percentage gain.
Example: Dropping 10 points from 100 to 90 is the same percentage drop as 20 points from 200 to 180.
In this case the exchange rate for the pound is roughly twice that of the dollar. So you must expect any comparable percentage change to be double that compared to the drop against the dollar.
Hope that helps......

I follow the Canadian rate and have noticed that (as yesturday) they update the top box (US exchange rate) but the bottom box (other exchange rates) were not updated.
You may just be seeing an accured increase from several days of not updating the bottom box, so all the gains the US saw over the last couple days were shown on the same day in the "other exchange" box.
Hope that made sense...

I don't wanna cut your celibrations short, but I track the UK rate and its been up and down like a roller coaster since the CBI started pushing it down (against the Dollar)!

thats cos halifax are taking a wad out of it beofre passing it onto you Tell me where you would get the Ex.Com rate of 2719.20....I bought £80,000 of Euros a little while ago and got nowhere near the rate they Quoted and it wasent for the trying either, I used a top City Exchange company and still only saved £96.00 up against the Halifax, it wasent worth the bother....the Halifax rate is a true rate because if thats all you will get + or - a bit, then thats the rate it is.

Lol - your post made me laugh!. I own three companies, I work 26 hours a day. I wish they would make it an 8 day week with 2 days at the weekend. I could cut my hours down to a mere 20 a day. lol
