Chase Bank No Longer selling IQD???

My sister just left chase bank at 1 pm central today she went there to buy dinar to give as christmas gifts ( We purchased 5m about 3 weeks ago). The lady stated that at this time chase is no longer selling the dinar that they received the memo on thursday the woman showed the memo to my sister and it stated in big bold letters " We are no longer selling the iraqi dinar at this time send all customers to B of A. We may start selling again at a future date". My sister went down the street to B of A and the woman was puzzled said she could not find anything she then called the corporate office and they informed her that they do not sell at this time. Any thoughts...I called and talked to a woman at Chase and she said that this is not regional it is company wide and that they could not purchase the dinar any longer....I listened to part of my sisters conversation with chase and B of A by phone as she was talking to them I was as amazed and confused as she was...any thoughts?

I just found out about the dinar in june of this year. I am telling you I heard this for myself and I cannot buy Dinar at my chase bank in greenville, Tx. I will give you there phone number if you would like and you can call for yourself....DD

Just got off the phone with a Dallas branch of chase , talked with a steve Lowe....said they would be happy to sell me some dianr and as far as he knows all texas branches would do the same !!!!!!!

If it is a branch that hasnt ever sold any maybe they dont knwo how to look it up...???it does not come up on thier foreign currency list.....you have to enter it like you were buying it...then it comes up !!!

Just got off the phone with Brian at that branch .....he said it did come up on the "main tellers screen and if you would like to come back in he could order it for you ..at the express tellers window :) Good luck !!!!...and he did tell me about the "memo...and said they wern't getting it from BoA any more and I ask him maybe they are getting it from "American express" like here in Utah ...he said he didnt know ....:) I think this was a matter of misunderstanding by this branch....

Dinar Dallas, I see you have not been here long (but I have seen you alot since Novemember and trying to find out all you can in the short time you have been here...wich is a good thing). Sometimes (as you will learn) Some things said ie. banks no longer selling dinar or bank said this is the last week or today is the last day to buy dinar, can be seen as a "pump and dump" by a dinar dealer....and yes it has happened MANY times here over the years. A dealer will come in and say things like you just said and it gets people all hyped up and they feel that a RV is coming soon and they impulsivley buy more dinar. This is a sales technique from dealers known as "pump and dump". So as of a result of that you will see people like Old Skiier Jump straight to the Jugler vein. I do not believe you are a dealer and I am not making excuses for Old Skiier, he has been in combat on the iif for years so he called the text book play like he saw it.

You know I figured I would be walking into it when I posted it but I could only go on what I had. My sister went into the bank and I called to verify. I been around long enough now and have seen some of the comments that have been made and, knew I would get some backlash but if I had not posted the comment Old Skiier wouldnt have gotten it figured out. At least he knows I am not a dealer and only want to post fact not fiction....Thanks for the welcome its a great forum and I have learned alot since I signed on...

What urks me, is that some of these branches dont want to bother ....and dont realize thier Bank has positioned themselves to make alot of money when this cahses in.....and they should treat every person who comes in like they are already millionairs !!!!:wave:

Dude have you not read the whole thread it got worked out old skiier called the branch and they had read the memo wrong the memo said that chase was no longer buying from bank of america. my sister went in an hour ago and purchased dinar. This thread was not trying to spread a rumor it was about finding out why this branch would not sell dinars anymore when I purchased 5 million 3 weeks ago at this same branch. Sorry if it came across as a rumor but I was just wanting see if others had experienced this problem...
