Dear clients! On 24th of June Iraq Stock Exchange (former Baghdad Stock Exchange) was reopened for trading. Trading started with trading shares of 10 companies. 10 more companies will be additionally listed each trading day. Both Iraqi and foreign investors will be permitted to participate in trading.

My vote after looking at both sites in depth I will vote for Waha
Why ??
1. Access via internet
2. Requires notorized documents
3 .ISX trader
4. FOREX TRADING IN US AND IRAQ DINAR .
5. Will manage your account to meet each client's needs even if you can't be informed of daily events .

To compare the two so far -- Waha
I would deal with the first one that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside .
I've yet to here a response to Waha but I feel it shouldn't take too long . They seam to be a much larger institution.
I will keep all informed as to what I hear back from both banks . :happy26:

I have good news > I recieved a e-mail from the Executive Manager from the Investment Bank Of Iraq Bagdad ,Iraq
He replied to my e-mail asking himverfy the account that was set up by Miss R .
I tried to copy and paste , but because the letter was scaned after it was hand signed by Mr Aboud , I wasn't successful .
However I could e-mail it to whom ever asks .
It stated the following
Sub: Account Verify
Dear Sir ,
Your e-mail dated 27th july 2004 , we have no swift code yet .you can wire your mony to our account with jorden investment bank and Finance Bank Ammen Jorden this bank will inform us the receipt of the money and will open the account in your name in our bank .

A list of the documents required to become a client of Waha Stock Brokerage House if you are a private person:

Application form. You can fill this form online or download it.

Passport/ ID details (a copy is required)

Bank references

Tax Code (where applicable)

A document from Taxation Authorities confirming the absence of tax debt

An Anti Money Laundering (AML) form, which confirms that the client has not been involved in any illegal activities such as terrorism, criminal activities etc., as well as that the origin of the funds has not been derived from the illegal activities.

Waha SBH will accept funds to the clients' account only via bank transfer.



Necessary information for non-residents:

Non-residents (private or institutional) should provide the complete list of required documents depending on their legal status.

All the documents listed above should be translated into English and certified by a notary

All the documents listed above should be translated into Arabic and submitted within 3 months after opening the account.
