Suicide Bomber Kills 121 in Baghdad

The late-afternoon explosion was the latest in a series of attacks against mainly Shiite commercial targets in the capital. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but it appeared to be part of a bid by Sunni insurgents to provoke retaliatory violence and kill as many people as possible ahead of a planned U.S.-Iraqi security sweep.

121 folks just dies unnecessary !!! If they had not telegraphed this operation of new crack down on security the Sunnies would have been trying to defend them selfs from the US and coalition forces and wouldnt have had time to do any car bombs .... !!!!

I am so sick of this war being fought on the television, ....The politician keep telling each other what they want to hear as to make it look like their side is winning.....and in return the enemy finds out everything that is going on and what we are planing !!! how stupid are we ????

What must it be like to have no regard for human life including your own - someone needs to re-write or at least re-interpret their past. Taking human lives is just so casual for them - like us running down to the store for milk and bread - just a daily task it seems.

What they should do is RV the dinar and let people know that they will have money and things will be better. If you are part of any bombings or any killings you are cut off and you family is cut off forvever, no money for you EVER...

OS are you refering to our military leaders or theirs?
I think we cannot take control of operations until the official crackdown begins. And as far as us telling them when we were comming, IMO it was an attempt to scare allot of the rats out of the city. Which is what happened. This will make the task of clearing and keeping the city of Baghdad at least a little easier.
I do agree that there should have been cerfews and check points established. But that lies at the feet of the Iraqis themselves.

I want these animals not killed but "DESTROYED" This coming action will be our finest hour, or it will be our final hour! I hope our troops were trained well in enemy recognition, The press would be my first target, not to be killed but removed from the battlefield, maybe run over by a humvee! they need to keep a weather eye on those Iraqi soldiers as well, that they keep their weapons trained forward!

Remember the pictures of the so called "Highway of Death" labeled that by the the liberal media, to me it was the "Highway of Victory" when our guys are allowed to deliver death to the enemy it is a victory! and they can do it so well!

I'll know that the polititians are out of the way, when I see our guys flying off the decks of those two battlegroups sent in by the President! Know is the time to kill the enemy without mercy, never mind colateral losses, defeat them now, and move the battlefield to Iran and Syria. Kill them there so we don't need to kill them here!
