Non-Iraqis who are interested in investing in the ISX are advised to only take firm news about start of foreign trade from the official management of the ISX. There have been in circulation, especially over the internet, reports claiming that the ISX has indeed opened trade for non-Iraqis. Dealing with unlicensed brokers is highly risky. The names of officially licensed brokers are found on the official web site of the ISX. Investors are warned of the potential of losing their money through fraudulent entities. The interest of foreign investors in the ISX and in reconstruction of Iraq in general is of course welcome news. Hence has been the argument of a group of lobbyists to officially open up in order to safeguard the interests of both the ISX and foreign investors.

With the Hayder situation, he isnt listed as an official licensed broker. I had emailed the ISX about him, and they basically said its not possible. I guess that is what they are addressing in the statement. They know how desperate we can get, and how bad we wish there was a way. I think Im going back to just being patient for the official opening... oh well :wave:
