The Iraqi oil Ministry said on Thursday, seeking us lending bank (Citigroup) to finance oil and gas pipeline project which intends to the Jordanian port of Aqaba, indicating that they had received offers from 40 other interested international companies with the implementation of the project and its financing.

Deputy Director-General of the oil projects company, GAMCO behind spokesman, reported Bloomberg News, Bloomberg, obtained today, (range), that "the Iraqi Government is working to create the preconditions for companies eligible for export pipeline oil and gas that passes through the center of a modern city, (120 km west of Ramadi, Anbar province, 110 km west of Baghdad), extending to the Jordanian port of Aqaba Red Sea", noting that "40 global company submitted bids for the project and its financing."

Khalaf said that "the US Citibank, Citibank was among the companies that submitted bids in this regard", stating that "the Ministry received many offers from banks and Russian companies and a South Korean, Japanese and Italian, Chinese and German to win the project.

The Deputy Director-General of the oil projects company, hoped that "crude oil pipeline planned for Aqaba port, transport 1 million barrels per day, including 150,000 bpd for local consumption and the rest for export," he said, as "it is hoped that moves the gas tube 252 million cubic feet per day, of which 100 million for Jordan.

Khalaf, said that "the Government is also planning to announce a separate project from the same network running from Basra (status, 590 km south of Baghdad), to modern", pointing out that he "will ask international donors wishing to implement this project to its end of the year 2013.

He was the Executive Director of the American Citibank branches in Iraq, Jordan and Syria, Mayen owner, said earlier that the US Citigroup lending bank, also plans to open other branches in Iraq for capital investment of up to $1 trillion spent on infrastructure projects in Iraq.

It is also noted that Iraq is now shipping the oil to Jordan using trucks which transported some 10,000 barrels is only 10% of the needs of Jordan as well as giving him 100,000 barrels of oil to Jordan at (27 of last November 2012).

The Financial Times newspaper, quoting a statement of the City Bank, (24 June 2013), that Egypt open its offices US city in Baghdad, becoming the first US Bank expands services to include Iraq, the pro-peace momentum created in this step to long-term economic opportunities in the oil-rich country.
