I know a lot of us would like to "pay forward" some of our new wealth after the reval. ThanksUSA (http://www.thanksusa.org/main/index.html) seems like a charity that is well worth consideration.

What is ThanksUSA's mission?
ThanksUSA is a non-partisan, charitable effort to mobilize Americans of all ages to "thank" the men and women of the United States armed forces by providing college, technical and vocational school scholarships for their children and spouses.

What wealth after a reval? What reval? I'm so sick of waiting for this.....I give up. The sooner we realize that we'll be lucky to see 1 dinar reach 1 US cent the better off we'll all be. I am all hoped out. Time to put the dinar away and get it back out when I'm ready to retire.

I couldent agree more, espcially when maybe 4 cents on the dollar actually go's to the folks who need it.

Nothing wrong with helping people, but why go through a greedy middle man thats gonna do justice for himself with the money? I wanna help people, but I wanna make sure that my money is going to exactly what I want it to.

with a lot of so called charities your donations support office buildings and limos.
I agree with treater on helping, just choose carefully.

Dont forget about the people that made this all possible. The troops

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) provides free college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling, to the children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.

Before you give to anyone the question that needs to be asked is, how much of $1 goes toward actually helping?

If it isn't above $0.85 don't do it.

But ask that question. You will be amazed at the charities that will say, well I think it's $0.30

This Is All Fine And Good, But Remember Charity Begins At Home.

Oh yes... I was turned down trying to donate new clothes that wouldn't fit me to the local Salvation Army store! Oh no they don't take things there.. you have to call and they will send a truck with 2 men out to get it from you. And I learned all of this from a few Salvation Army execs who rolled in to expect that store in their thousand dollar suits, rolex watches, and Lexus cars. Non-profit my hind end! Give me a break about non-profit because someone there is profiting plenty and it isn't the people who need to be.

No if I give any money away it will be to my children in their times of need.
