It is hard to overstate the arrogance and bellicosity of the congressional Democratic leadership. When they're not playing footsie with our enemies, they're savaging President Bush, gleefully naysaying every aspect of the Iraq war and harming the troops they pretend to protect. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55181

dems were with it at the onset. now, they just follow the polls and decide their strategy.

overall, people dont like seeing US Servicemembers killed. Americans dont have the stomach for war anymore. dems see this and build their platform on it.

simple politics. just as Clinton had combat troops delivering rice and wheat in Africa and also had them in the middle of a civil war in Bosnia, while the Repubs griped about it. politics.

I believe the Democrats are suffering from a self inflicted "rope a dope".

Their rantings and ravings about our Government and Military will backfire on them and they will pay the price in the 2008 elections.

HERE YOU GO SM: the Democratic leadership have moved from the merely inconsistent to the irresponsible. It's now been 67 days since the President submitted the emergency supplemental request. As most Americans know by now, the House of Representatives has voted to provide the funding, but also to require that we cut the number of troops below the level that our commanders in Iraq say is necessary for victory, and further require that American forces begin withdrawing from Iraq according to a set timetable, and be gone next year regardless of circumstances on the ground.
Not before that vote had the Democrats ever managed to find enough members of the House to support a planned retreat from Iraq. So how did they manage to pass it this time? They did it by horse-trading -- by adding in all that pork-barrel spending we've heard about. And when they had the votes they needed, they stopped adding the pork, and they held the vote.
Such an outcome raises more than a little concern about the future of fiscal discipline on Capitol Hill. The implications for national security are equally obvious, and far more critical to the future of the country. An editorial by The Washington Post aptly termed the House bill an "unconditional retreat ". The legislation that passed in the Senate is no better, and that bill, also, calls for the withdrawal of American troops according to a pre-set timetable determined by members of Congress.
So this is where things stand today. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/04/20070413-2.html
So now it's the Dems fault that Bush brought us all into an illegal war, proceeded to royally screw it up, and now has no exit strategy? :rolleye03

Oh and here's a nice link showing how great the security is now after the surge:
The Daily Show Blasts John McCain's Baghdad Visit (http://www.crooksandliars.com/index.php?rand=20070413122005&paged=3)

Bush has no other recourse right now than to just "stay the course" until the Dems take back the white house in 2008. Then Republicans will point and say how the Dems mishandled the war. :(

No, Feckless.

You people are the obstacles to victory, as usual, and you people are a greater threat to us working Americans because of the power granted to you by the hapless masses who listen to Rather gives teeth to the blind hatred of your people.

The Dem's may very well have good ideas to help this country and this war, who knows? Stranger things have surely happened. Their problem is that they can not stand on their own two feet on any issue without down grading others, mainly the president. There is a large matter of respect and they do not have it and if they do not respect our highest office then what makes you think they will not sell you out for a publicity shot? Can you imagine what our country would be like if we all acted like they are in our work places? Unemployment would skyrocket but we accept what comes out of these peoples mouth and call it "just politics". Sad for us isn't it? We base who will we vote for or who is in the running on how much money they raise for a campaign, millions which could certainly be used better elsewhere mind you but with it, we call these people the better choice. And when they get up on the platform, instead of saying I believe the war in Iraq should end, people are dying, they say the presidents useless war is out of control and I am going to get it changed. The president made this mistake and that mistake. Who really knows what these people believe and what they will fight for? You can not cut through the crap that comes out of their mouths. The sad thing is that as bad as it sounds, if we saw headlines in two news papers, one said the dems are looking for a way to world peace and the other said democrats and republicans fight it out over the presidents inadequacies, which one would you buy? The really sad thing is that other countries, our allies and our enemy's are watching and reading everything and we wonder why these countries can do and say what they want to and get away with it. Because we fight amongst ourselves so much Iran could actually set off a nuke and they know, we will fight it out for a good 2-3 months before we do something. Sometimes we are our own worst enemys. I also include the republicans in this because they get just as nasty when the film is running don't they?

He pussy footed around because he could not get a straight answer from guess who? You can try and make him the fall guy if you want to but the last time I checked, he can not make any decision even as the president of the USA without clearing it through how many channels? Right, the same ones that back up and say he is off the chain now......

KING GEORGE, DON'T YOU MEAN PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH? DON'T YOU HAVE ANY RESPECT SKILLET? BTW, "W" IS SAVING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM TERRORIST'S LAUNCHING MISSION'S HERE AT HOME , AGAIN. THAT'S AS FAR AS I WILL RESPOND BECAUSE I KNOW YOU CANNOT READ WHILE DRINKING YOUR COOL AID.
Talk about not having any respect, as far as "W" saving me or the country for that matter it's been five years now since we've been attacked as "W" so frequently like to bring up and our borders an ports remain WIDE-OPEN with no mention or intention of closing them. Also economicly speaking selling of the very fabric of our people of this country to aquire and sustain the so called american dream. And you want to try to convince me that "W" is saving me. I might be drinking cool-aid but you, must be smoking some really bad stuff.
